I'm rereading the Strain trilogy by Chuck Hogan and Guillermo del Toro so I can get brushed up on all the content before the tv series releases

Currently reading Star Wars Revan. If you are a fan of The Old Republic games and wondered what happened to the characters after the game, read this book. Nearing the end now and so far I'd say I'm giving it a 9/10.

I've got The Strain in one of my Amazon wishlists. Definitely will get around to it at some point.

Thanks! Can you at least clarify the violation? It has been a great 2 years. Good luck to all.

Admitting to reading technical manuals and/or political documents and proposals is an instant ban, sorry.

Ironically, having political opinions is not a bannable offense- as long as they're not informed opinions.

Finished up Under the Dome. I thought it was okay, certainly worth a read, but the conclusion was weak. It had some good sequences and memorable characters though.
Just started the third Reacher novel, Tripwire. I'm enjoying these more than I thought I would.

Working on The Strain. So far pretty interesting.
Since my last post
The Lions of Lucerne - decent action thriller, with a star similar to Jack Reacher. Harvath (the lead) isn't fleshed out as well as Reacher, though. Worth a read for fans of this type of novel, but there's better stuff for sure.
6/10
Reacher 4: Running Blind - the best since Killing Floor. The ending was a little hokey, but everything leading up to that was a pretty good mystery.
7/10
Reacher 5: Echo Burning - ehh, probably the weakest in the series so far to me. Too long and has some tedious, boring sections.
6.5/10
The Hunt for Red October - too long and technical at times. Don't see what all the fuss is about, didn't do much for me. There are literally paragraphs of nothing except explaining the details about submarine parts. Why?
6/10

"All Quiet on the Western Front" by Erich Maria Remarque
I never got a chance to read it in high school, so, naturally, 6 years later I'm picking it up for the first time. It's a quick read, and I haven't finished it yet but it's one of the better war books I've read! Love war books -- especially anything by Tim O'Brien. if anyone else has any recommendations, let me know!!
