I finished The Stand a few days ago.
As good as it was, I couldn't shake the feeling that it could have been 75% as long as it was. Obviously Under the Dome wasn't as good overall, but it had the same problem. King's super imaginative and can build an excellent world, but he can be a little wordy sometimes.

Just finished The Long Halloween, which is a Batman graphic novel.
I thought it was a great mystery, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see Harvey Dent's transformation into Two-Face. Parts of this were adapted in the Dark Knight, so fans of the film will see some similarities.
