Quote by Vermillion Haze:
It's the same as letting a 10 year old watch Scarface or Goodfella's. They are not meant for children since they are "ripe for sculpting" as you call it and prone to imitate anything and everything. Adult entertainment should be reserved for adults and Meta. Hating on those movies for being what they are (adult oriented films) is silly. If you want to dislike GTA there are plenty of other more logical reasons! Namely Brucie
I was playing gta 3 when I was 11 and watching those movies and I turned out ok for the most part.

My brothers will be fine. I'm more frustrated with the short term effects than any unprovable long term ones.

The very first PC game I remember playing is Wolfenstein 3D and DOOM. I was also really into the Terminator and Robocop movies when I was young. I'm not any more prone to violence than the next person because I knew the difference between right and wrong, real and fake.
Still- you probably acted that shit out, which is what boyz is saying, I think. Kids repeat what they hear and act out what they observe. If people want to let their kids play it, it's obviously yeti own decision- but they're then at fault for any language and aggression- not the adult game (or movie). But I think boyz knows that, he's just venting.
That should say their, not yeti.

I'm not sure there's a difference between acting out the violence in, say, TMNT, and Grand Theft Auto. Boys fighting & imitating are pretty much the same level, with a different canvas. You can take the tamest children's show aimed at boys, & they'll enhance the violence.

I'm sorry but I'm with Kat, it should be yeti's own decision.

^ I was mildly curious why the Yeti had product placement on his crotch, so I googled it.

Apparently "balbiino" is a tasty treat that comes in a phallic-shapped wrapper. Oh Yeti...

Kids acting out tmnt "I'm going to get you, Shredder! Ninja kick!!" "Tonight I dine on turtle soup." "Cretins!"
Kids acting out gta v "I'm gonna pop a cap in your ass, bitch!" "Get your whore ass back here and give me a blow job." "Fucking bite me, you fucking prick."
There's a difference. Not only is the gta series an m series, rockstar throws the f word and sexually derogatory slurs into their games with the frequency that snapple misuses your and you're, and says of instead of have. Kids copy language they hear and actions they see. I'm not even sure if that's debatable. I don't know a single person with a kid who doesn't laugh about kids being huge sponges.
Mudkip I said act out. As in- in play act out. My friends and I used to act out every scene of our favorite movies. It didn't make us lesbians. You're the only one talking about increasing violence and video games making kids criminals, lol. I'm talking about behavior issues only. If you don't want your kid saying "fuck off, lady" to a random chick at a store, don't say it and don't let your kids watch tv or movies where people say it. Obscenities and rudeness are learned, not created by every new generation.
