Zidane is not in the right category. and i disagree 100% on the Barrett/Sazh being stereotypical black dudes. You don't see Barret serving bbq and looking at nice cars like BigP.

Sazh seemed pretty ok, in fact I feel like he, Lightning and Fang were the only decent characters in 13.
Barrett, though, ugh--the way they tried to make him all tempermental, and using "street slang"--I think the majority of the gaming community /facepalmed when encountering him.
I even remember a dude writing GamePro magazine a letter about it, their response was pretty much a verbose /facepalm too.
