I really enjoyed it as well, I like that it gives a lot of freedom to do whatever and rewards appropriately. In some ways I miss the counter-based combat but I like how different weapons feel unique in Origins & Odyssey.
I also like that they reduced collectible clutter and streamlined the naval combat.

Fully agree on all your points! Just wished I could level up faster! Can definitely see this one going over the 100 hour mark and I havent even purchased the DLC's yet.

Appears a lot of people are being affected by the black screen of death right now....I just performed a factory reset and still nothing....sure hope Microsoft fixes this soon.

Xbox servers are back up and everyone who was affected by this should be good now (may need to do a hard reset though). This was global...

We lost our original xb1 the other day. Well- the power brick, anyway. 3 capacitors burst in it. Gotta borrow my 16 year old’s if I want to play KH3 before evol fixes it for me, because he hogs the Minecraft one. 😂

Do it, because KH3 is pretty damn great. I'm 8-ish hours in, level 17.
I've only played the original on ps2, none of the sequels or spin-offs, but 3 is delightful fun, captures that energy that makes you feel like a kid, and gives tons of fun options for combat and the gummiship stuff, but also makes it streamlined and optional if you don't want to get in to the nitty-gritty.

Early on, the game seems incredibly slow and too kiddified, but it picks up after you complete the second world (Twilight Town) so stick with it, it's not all babbys first arpg.

The Anthem demo was pretty fun, especially because they let you squad up with friends. It felt like a heavier, more realized version of Mass Effect's multiplayer, complete with consumable boosters you can set before heading out.
Levels are huge, lots of verticality, managing your jump jets and weapons cooldown is le thing.
Once you get to the point that you can change javelins (exosuits) and weapons, it is great fun to mix and match for strategies with friends.
There are freeplay "expeditions" you can go on if you just want to screw around, harvest resources, etc.
From what I've read on the developers' official releases, there isn't a huge amount of stuff to do, at least not at launch. It's going to be a situation similar to Destiny where the actual meat & potatoes go by pretty quick and the end game is figuring out ways to run harder versions of the same content for better loot.

Yeah, I really like it. I’ve played them all, because I’m a nerd, and I still need to look stuff up once in a while lol. There’s a lot to keep straight. But it’s so fun!

Black Desert is doing another beta from Feb 14th-17th before launching March 4th.
It's an mmorpg with a focus on action/skill combat (rather than buffering auto attacks).

So I am over 100 hours in Odyssey and must say I really like this game...Still havent finished the main story line and have a plethora of side quests not to mention the DLC remaining. Highly recommend this game!
