So I finally ran into my first gameplay glitch last night at the end of the College of Winterhold quest "Revealing The Unsean". When I returned to the college after going through Mzulft to tell the Arch-Mage I know where the staff is, the scene played out where the Arch-Mage confronts Ancano and the explosion occurs. Then the chick tells me she needs me to find the Arch-Mage and the next quest titled "Containment" is supposed to start automatically but it didn't. Instead I walk out into the courtyard to find the Arch-Mage's dead body just lying there and whenever I tried to hit A to search him, his body would just sort of flop around. I loaded a previous save from right before he breaks through Ancano's ward but the same thing happened again only this time a couple other people including the chick that tells me to find him walk up to and exclaim something like "this can't be happening!" over his dead body in the courtyard but then just walk away. Luckily, I had another save from inside Mzulft before entering the Oculory so I finished that part and then went back to the college and saved it again before going to bed last night. I'll find out later today whether that fixes the problem when I try to finish the quest again.

I kinda figured that but as I said, the next quest wouldn't prompt and when I tried talking to the dumb bitch again it would just give me the same old dialogue options. I had to laugh at one point cause she kept telling me not to bother the Arch-Mage unless it's really important. He's dead you stupid bitch!

And it's still doing it! It won't give me the prompt for the next quest, "Containment." I tried loading a couple previous saves cause I was wondering if killing the Synad douche bag you meet in the Oculory was what was messing things up for me but that apparently made no difference. She tells me to find the Arch-Mage and then nothing happens and once she even just up and disappeared right in front of me during the part when the Arch-Mage walks up to confront Ancano right before the explosion. It won't give me any new dialogue options with her and it wont let me interact with his dead body in the courtyard which was sticking halfway into the ground. 
I decided to load my one previous save and finish a couple of the college radiant quests and then go back but I have a feeling the only way I'm gonna be able to finish the college questline is with a whole new game.

I have been stockpiling items in my rooms in "Jorrvaskr" and "Winterhold College". After I completed both questlines I obtained the room of the previous leadership. Sweet right? No not really since apparently anything you store in the chest's there will DISAPPEAR. I had stashed loads of quality stuff in both places then started playing awhile today and checked them both...and found they reset or something. One chest had 6 gold in it, and one chest had some random food.
What's the point in giving me the Arch Mages quarters or Kodlaks old room if I can't store things there.

I bought a house. Had one of my followers stay there and have had no issues whatsoever yet in losing my items.

That's the thing. Nothing is happening. I find his dead body and stand there and nobody says shit to me. The strategy guide says the next quest is supposed to automatically start and it's not. I tried waiting for 12 and then 24 hours and I stand by his dead body and people come up and say random shit then walk away. One person says "how can this happen" and one chick says she's "gonna find who did this" but Mirabelle just stands there with a mug in her hand saying the same random lines over and over again about how her position in unpopular and not to bother the Arch-Mage and he's fucking lying dead on the ground in front of her. I said it wouldn't let me interact with his dead body because the A button prompt for searching him pops up but does nothing. It does let me drag his corpse around though.

Yeah, I did a handful of other quests last night including a couple of the College's radiant quests and nothing's changed. The Arch-Mage's corpse is still lying in the courtyard and one time when I came back to the College even Ancano was just walking around like nothing was going on when he was supposed to be behind his ward messing with the Eye in the hall. It even gave me the same old dialogue options when I tried talking to him.

I bought a house. Had one of my followers stay there and have had no issues whatsoever yet in losing my items.
Well houses are a given. But i'm not activating dragons or the civil war till I hit level 50. Houses are not terribly easy to come by if you factor out that freebie in whiterun. I was hoping at LEAST the Arch Mages Quarters would be safe. But nope, all my shit disappeared after 30 days.
