Anybody have a good strategy for taking out dragons whenever you are a lower level? I am only a level 5 right now and got my ass handed to me by a dragon yesterday.
Take a horse with you. At low levels, most horses will take a dragon out in about 3 hits.

I lost Shadowmere doing that.

Oh yeah. It doesn't work well later in the game.
I lured a few dragons toward stables and stood back and watched the slaughter. By the time I had Shadowmere, I was killing dragons in a couple swings of my warhammer.

Shadowmere never dies... If it does "die", you must wait 30 days in game and return to the spot where it died, it will once again be standing there waiting for you.

I'll have to try that. Last night I got pummeled by a dragon. It took me about three or four attempts before he finally fell victim to my steel sword.

Well there's your problem, lmao. Might as well shoot at it with a rubberband gun.

When in doubt. Summon your own one handed weapons. It's a painfully easy way to level up conjuration as well.
When you do that, isn't the weapon always in your left hand? So technically you are dual wielding? I have done this a few times, but I prefer to have that hand open for my flame or frost spells.
I must say, I am really enjoying this game a lot more than I thought I would. It's exactly what I was looking for.
You can equip the spell in either hand or both.

Cool, thanks. I'll have to look in to that. I must be equipping wrong. I never realized I could equip spells in both hands.
What skill does summoning weapons fall under so I can level it up if I end up liking it? Does it fall under conjuring?

when equipping, LT is to equip to left hand, RT is the equip to right hand. heads up. lol

Right?! I can't wait till I get my hands on a better weapon. Then I'll start slapping dragons around like I'm a pimp.

I'm up to level 16 now. I've taken a liking to conjuring a weapon in my right hand and using destruction/healing spells in my left. I picked up Jenassa as my follower and she is a beast with a bow and arrow. I've taken down 4 dragons so far as well.

Just wait, fighting dragons gets very old, very quickly. By the time I completed the game I killed 210.

Yea, I was sick of them randomly attacking me by about the 15th one or so, half the time as soon as I'd boot up my game and leave an area I'd immediately get attacked by one and half the time they'd fly around for 10 minutes before finally landing where I could attack em
