Started watching Heroes and Generation Kill, so I didn't have as much time to watch movies as I normally do. Got around to checking out some more that have been in the backlog for a long time, and checked out a new release.
damn thanks for posting about heros, i read online somewhere that xbox is trying to bring the show back, apparently it's going to be an exclusive thing.
also marvel got the rights back to daredevil (electra, kingpin, ect) so we may see a sweet version in the future .

Batman Begins - 4/5
I actually have not watched any batman movies EVAR!!!! Till now. I've owned The Dark Knight on blu-ray for more than a year and The Dark Knight Rises since its blu ray release day... and I still haven't watched them. I held off because I wanted to watch the start of this trilogy. So I finally watched Batman Begins (I owned this on blu-ray for a few months as well). Gotta say... Batman Begins was pretty damn good. Got boring here and there but I really enjoyed it.

Popeye. The Robin Williams Popeye. I'd give it any negative number out of 5. What an absolutely horrible movie. I felt like I wanted to shove a spoon up my ass so it would distract me from the pain of watching it.

D-D-D-D-DOUBLE POST!!1
Django Unchained - 5/5 NNR
I genuinely enjoy Quentin Tarantino's stuff and this is another home-run. Campy violence, interesting music and those classic dialogues that go on too long. Me calling this a 5 isn't saying it's perfect, I'm just saying it delivered everything I want from a movie. Jamie Foxx was great, the guy playing Schultz was great, Samuel L Jackson was hilarious as a real-life version of "Uncle Ruckus" from The Boondocks.

I'd give it a 5/5 myself. Easily in his top three best films.

Safe (recently added to Netflix). 9/10 - Probably one of the better Jason Statham movies out there, pretty funny as well.

This Must Be The Place (2011) 7.5/10
Sean Penn shows off his knack for playing such diverse characters yet again in This Must Be The Place, a film by Paolo Sorrentino. Penn plays a retired rock star named Cheyenne, who now lives a boring life in Dublin with his wife (played by Frances McDormand). Cheyenne still dresses the part of the former rock star, despite being retired. He puts on his lipstick and eye make up every morning just as he has since the age of fifteen.
I won't say much more about the plot, it's better you see it for yourself. This movie drew me in when I saw the cover flow on Netflix instant streaming. Penn is so noticably different looking here that you can hardly believe it's him. The film is a treat, seeing Penn portray this Ozzy Osbourne type character is such a break from the norm, I highly suggest you see it if you enjoy Penn or highly visual films with subtle family oriented undertones.

Moneyball 9.5/10
The best baseball movie since Field of Dreams. Jonah Hill in a somewhat serious role made me nervous but he pulls it off. Easily Pitts best "acting" performance of his career. I thought the pacing was slightly off but no other complaints. Also Chris Pratt from "Parks and Recreation" did a nice job in a supporting role.
