I've just personally never really been that big into the horror genre or more specifically any horror movie made in the last 20 years. I can think of maybe a handful that I did like and I did see the first Silent Hill on dvd from netflix a few years back but wasn't all that impressed with it. I think the last time I paid to see a horror movie in the theaters was when they released the enhanced version of The Exorcist.
Seeing as I've only been around for 20 years (Hahaha) I can agree with you that the horror genre has been pretty disappointing as of late. But I can honestly say Sinister has brought hope back to me. It's no Exorcist, but I really enjoyed the flick.
If we let these Paranormal Activity movies roll on any longer, I just might be wrong...

Moonrise Kingdom - 5/5
Absolutely loved it. It joins The Royal Tenenbaums and Rushmore on my
top 3 list of Wes Anderson joints.

The Amazing Spiderman 5/5
I was amazed at how good the movie was. I went in thinking it wouldn't be that good because of who was playing Peter Parker. But boy did the movie prove me wrong. I'm glad I watched it.

Just decided to watch the Amazing Spider-man, 7/10, it was alright, the rumors are that Electro might be in the sequel which is cool, but they're also saying Jamie Foxx is supposed to play him which is awful IMO

Skyfall, 8.5/10, good plot, good action, great cast, awesome villain, awesome movie. Only thing I knock anything off for were a few periods of slowness, the action seemed more spaced out than the last two 007's but it was still a great movie.

Weekly recap:
Good Luck Chuck – 3/10
Hitman – 5/10
Babylon A.D – 5/10
Firewall – 5/10
Quarantine 2: Terminal – 5/10
I didn’t watch anything bad, but they were all super mediocre.
Good Luck Chuck was a below-average comedy, and Dane Cook just needs to go.
Hitman wasn’t as bad as I expected, but Olyphant’s acting was cringe worthy.
I thought Babylon A.D was going in the right direction, but I literally have no idea what was going on. They crammed what should have been about a 2.5 hour movie into 1.5 hours. I really hate it when movies build what could potentially be a pretty interesting world/society, and then fail to explain anything about it.
Firewall was just a vehicle for Ford (pun!), nothing more.
Quarantine 2 was actually pretty decent for a straight-to-DVD release; I recommend it to fans of the first.

The Campaign: 5/10 - Not very funny. Dillon Mcdermott of all people provided the majority of the laughs I did have.
The Raid Redemption: 8/10 - Action thrill ride from start to finish. Not much acting going on though.

Ted 7/10 - movie was real good & funny but at some point it just got real serious out of nowhere & the laughs stopped & that's when it started to lose points
Agreed. I thought most of it was way funnier than I was expecting, especially the crazy stuff with Flash Gordon, but the more dramatic & serious the movie got the more boring it became.
