Unknown – I didn’t think it got off to a great start, but it did finish strong. It kind of has this Bourne-Lite feel to it. Neeson is effective as always. For once, I didn’t actually see the twist coming.
7/10
TMNT – I never really got into them as a kid, so I don’t have a history with the series. I know a few fans that disliked this movie, but I thought it was pretty good. The voice actors were great, and it just had this charm about it. It makes me want to watch the older movies.
6/10
Big Lebowski – I know I’m woefully behind, as this is the first time I’ve watched it. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I just had a sneaking suspicion that it would fail to live up to the hype. It’s the usual Coen fare, but maybe a little more out there than some of their more recent work. I know a lot of people are very high on Bridge’s performance, but I thought Goodman stole the show.
8/10
Jackie Brown – I’ve now watched all of Tarantino’s movies. I liked it better than the Kill Bill movies and Reservoir Dogs, but less than Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds and Death Proof. I just didn’t feel like it had that character (Bruce Willis in Pulp Fiction, Christopher Waltz in Inglorious Basterds or Kurt Russell in Death Proof) that really made it stand out. I also thought there were a few scenes that seemed to drag by, and that’s a rarity with his movies. I would have liked more De Niro, too; he seemed a little underdeveloped.
7/10
Ted – I’m not entirely sure how this garnered so much critical acclaim, at least for a comedy. I thought Ted (the character) had a few decent lines, but most of the movie was just awful.
3/10
Bourne Legacy – not quite up to the standard the trilogy set, but still a decent action movie. Renner’s as capable as Damon, but the absence of Greengrass caused a bit of a drop in quality. It also needed a memorable fight scene, something that all of the other Bourne movies did have.
6/10
Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey – I let what I heard about the movie dictate my attitude going in, so I wasn’t expecting that much. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not as dark as LotR, and the story doesn’t feel as epic. I’m expecting big things out of the next two movies.
8/10
Quantum of Solace – I’ve been meaning to watch this for quite a while, but it got put on the back burner. It’s not up to par with Casino Royale, but it's way ahead of any of the Bond releases from the 90s, in my opinion. It really needed a stronger villain, and for the stakes to be cranked a level higher.
6/10
it was pretty cool seeing what it was like for the people that created braid, fez, and super meat boy how it went and what it was like being an indie developer. everyone who's a gamer shold definitely check it out, and it's on Netflix!
The Son of No One - 6.5/10 Def had some great actors in it, but the story was lacking for me, not that interesting to be honest. But any movie with Ray liota and Al Pacino is worth a view.

Well the Pierce Brosnan Bond was more of a go go gadget cartoony type bond. He is probably my least favorite bond next to Roger Moore (Moonraker was just as corny as it was when Austin Powers spoofed it) But yeah, Daniel Craig has put a lovely spin on Bond. I think his concept will gather younger Bond fans and enable the studios to make even more. I enjoyed Quantum of Solace as much if not more then Casino Royale, but it's your opinion and thats groovy baby. If you haven't seen Skyfall yet, do it asap. I think Skyfall is the best Bond to date, it's a bit more darker and James Bond seems more like a human being then in any other Bond movie, it also gets quite a bit more personal as well.
I got the 50 year anniversary of James Bond from Best Buy for christmas from my wife so I'll be cracking that bad boy up soon.
I also downloaded The Watch, The Campaign, Taken 2, Looper, and Killing Them Softly, so I'll let you guys know what I thought of them.
Funny, but less funny every time you see it. And I don't like how the story changes about 75% of the way through the movie. I know they do that with Family Guy a lot, but it seems to work for a half an hour TV show just not the full length movie.
I enjoyed it but it had a bit too much Labeuf and not nearly enough Gary Oldman. Guy Pearce was brilliant and absolutely detestable. I loved the shaven-eyebrow Pinky Floyd look he was sporting. Oh and Jessica Chastain is gorgeous.
I really enjoyed watching this movie, I gave it a 3.5 out of 5 because it isn't normal watching Tyler Perry in a serious role such as this crime drama. I feel like he was lacking in some of the emotional or serious scenes. I think he did rarely well but that he could do a bit better. I really enjoyed the story and the pace of the movie was set a pretty good rate.
I think anyone should watch it at least once. Either download it like I did, or wait to red box it.
Killing Them Softly 4/5
This was a cool movie, Brad Pitt was the better actor out of the whole cast. Ray Liotta was pretty good as well but wasn't in the movie a whole lot. A lot of stuff that happened in the movie was pretty grimy but hey, it got the job done. You'll know what I mean when you see the movie.
