Alfred Hitchcock's 1944 film about 8 survivors of a u-boat attack crammed into a lifeboat. The premise sounded intriguing when I added it to my netflix queue but it really didn't live up to my expectations. I bumped it along with 6 or 7 films of his to the top of my queue to do a Hitchcock marathon; most of which I haven't already seen. This was one I hadn't seen yet as well as the earliest one I added. I chose 2 from the 40's, 3 from the 50's and then 2 or 3 from the 60's.

I thought it was a pretty good movie and not boring at all. You must have been sleeping through all of the good parts, and caught nothing but dialogue. Had a good ending too.

Thank you for posting this review. It's about what I was expecting, and now I'm glad we didn't take the time to watch it.
Anyone seen Rum Diaries? Any good? The previews looked neat, I was getting kind of a Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas feel except with more alcohol and less LSD.

I haven't seen the movie but I think Rum Diary are based off of more of Hunter S. Thompsons work. Hence the Fear & Loathing vibe you get.
Fixed and yes, it is based on an earlier novel of the same title based on a younger Hunter Thompson's escapades in San Juan, Puerto Rico in the late 50's. Don't expect it to be anything like Fear & Loathing though. They're two completely different novels and Thompson himself was highly involved in the making of F&L but obviously he wasn't around for the making of The Rum Diary so I have reservations about it but still plan on watching it soon.
Woman in black 4/10 - Extremely boring. The pacing seemed off and distracts from the acting. It has some cool scenes but they don't keep you interested. The horror felt cliche and rarely (If at all) scary. Daniel Radcliffe should stick to kid book adaptations.
so first off, I've seen 3, 4, 5, and 6 before, never 2 or 1, besides for part of one kinda half asleep when i was nine one time. all I've heard about one is bad things, though. i go into it with low expectations and a minimal knowledge of story, and I'm blown away. it's no masterpiece like the OG trilogy, but it was cool! jarjar has to gtfo and stfu, but he made me chuckle a little. darth maul fighting was intense and i really liked it, why do people hate? i still haven't seen two, might as well wait for theatrical release. also, the 3D was pretty cool.
Rate: 8.25/10
Pretty funny with good action thrown in from time to time. Chris Pine and Tom Hardy are pretty believable in their roles, and Resse Witherspoon is still hot.

I just saw that the other day. The highlights of the movie are in the commercials. The rest of the movie is rather dull and painfully boring. The plot itself was poorly written and very predictable. The movie itself left me with a lot of questions at the end. Not to mention that the ending was such a huge let down. 1/5

I feel you. The only MAIN parts that sparked interest were in the commercials/previews haa. The ending made me mad! Oh well, I wouldn't say it was a waste of money, but I would've rather bowled or something.
