Nice, I enjoyed the first, I'll watch the second.
Woody Allen's 1982 romantic comedy starring himself and Mia Farrow. It was the first of 13 films they made together and I wish that he could've given the role to Diane Keaton, who he originally intended. Mia Farrow was nominated for the Razzie for worst actress for this role. Had I known that ahead of time I may have picked a different Woody Allen film to watch. He's another director that I want to get more familiar with as Sleeper is the only film of his that I've seen before this one.
La Misma Luna (in Spanish) 4.5/5 I speak nearly fluent spanish, so It was ten times better than the english version. Absolutely beautiful story.
בצע יונתן (Operation Yonatan) 4.5/5 While my Hebrew isn't perfect yet, this one's an Israeli film from 1977 based on Operation Thunderbolt, a real military operation by Israel to rescue passengers kidnapped by German and Palestinian militants on a hijacked plan. It was and Air France flight en route from Tel Aviv to France via Athens when it was hijacked and redirected to Uganda where the Ugandan government helped the terrorists out quite a bit. The film itself was outstanding (it was in Hebrew and English mostly, with some German and French as well) and apparently extremely accurate based on classified military reports. The fact that I am educated about the conflict and the time period and that I am Jewish probably helped me enjoy it far more as well.
The ending made me a little iffy, but its Liam Neeson! Definitely a good story.
The movie was good overall, but I made the mistake of reading the book first so I kept noticing little differences and stuff and junk. Fun adventure, violent, I think overall I am more comfortable with this being a "trend" versus Twilight.
Havoc - 3/5
I'll be honest--I only rented this to look at Anne Hathaway's birthday suit. The movie was terrible even if the specific actors were good. Anne Hathaway's birthday suit is hot.
Love & Other Drugs - 3.5/5
Ok, yeah, I decided to have a naked Anne Hathaway party. This movie was genuinely enjoyable despite her annoying character. The story was fun and, as far as romantic comedies go, this wasn't terrible. I like looking at Anne Hathaway naked.
Really liked it. Almost liked it as much as I liked the book. Of course if you read the book first you're gonna pick up on the differences... they may or may not bug you. In my case I could easily look past them. Cant wait for the second movie!
