I see the points made here, I actually agree with both sides I guess.
I have always felt 5 out of 5 was too simple, but it's actually very good for quick evaluation.
A 10 point scale is good for figuring out the best of the best but it also makes sense that there wouldn't be anything higher than 10 therefore that's the pinnacle and comprises "perfect" irregardless of how you individually define perfection.
I suppose maybe the best compromise that is easily understood by us Americaners is using a 100 point system with anything below 70 being fail, as in 51% isn't going to cut it.
I would call BioShock a "10/10" using my usual quick evaluation, but on a 100 scale I would give it maybe a 96 because I feel the research camera and large selection of weaponry ultimately detracts from part of what it aims to do.
I sure can't see how you'd fault the graphics of original BioShock, though, I feel like they did a hell of a job considering it's an early Unreal Engine 3 game.

without diving into the argument/debate, this is pretty much how i feel.
when i go to rate something, i ask myself "what could they have done better."
bioshock is my 2nd favorite 360 to date. i'd give it an 8 or 9.
bioshock 2 gets a 9, even without me beating it, because of the major improvements.
it has major flaws that i take into consideration, but they are not gamebreaking, and they don't justify a lower rating in my opinion. it's all in the eye of the beholder. we are never going to judge games the same way, so this debate is quite senseless.

Burnout Paradise - 7/10
Not a big fan of racing games, I think I might own 2 racing games, Nascar 09 (given to me) and Forza 2 (combo pack with Marvel Ultimate Alliance), so I'm glad I borrowed it instead of buying it.

i just recently finished DEAD SPACE, on a scale of 1-10 .I give it a 9,the graphics are awesome and the story is really well plotted out. Play it in the dark (it will creep u out).

I'm almost halfway through Mass Effect 2 and so far I'd give it an 8. I love the faster pace and better action, and the characters are fun, but the planet-scanning minigame is boring like Noah's mom.
I'd be pissed if I didn't still have my ME1 save. I wish there was some option for 360 players to be able to make and import a "custom save" where we could make the Shepard look how you want and set all the options that carry over.

I should've finished the ME1 playthrough I am in the middle of before I started this game. I guess it doesn't matter though, really.
The last game I played was Army of Two 2 T40thD. If you liked the first one, you will probably like this one for the same reason. There isn't much change. Melissa and I are only a few hours in. Its fun is tempered by its frustration. Poor camera angles are bad, but can really make you want to scream in a shooter. I'm playing on contractor (hardest) difficulty and it seems that instead of making the enemy AI more intelligent, they wrecked the player's controls. It isn't unplayable and Co-op is a lot of fun, but 6.5/10 is all that I can give it so far.

Well before my Box went poopie. I finished Dantes Inferno. I give it a 8/10. Game was great. but kinda felt to me it was short. Reminded me of God of War meets Ninja Giaden in HELL!!! so yeah Loved it. hope they make another

BFBC 2 10/10 this game is awesome havnt played single player yet but MP is awesome

Single Player 6/10 - Campaign is too short, beat all 3 in less than 8 hours.
Multiplayer 2/10 - Would have been better if I could have actually gotten into more than 1 game in 3 hours and the host hadn't left the game after 5 mins.

Just finished Darksiders today, 8.5 out of 10, thought it was surprisingly good and longer than I expected.

Assassin's Creed II 9.5/10
Absolutely loved it. I downloaded both of the dlc before I finished the game so I played all the DNA sequences in a row. I would've liked a few chievos for the dlc but oh well. I thought the chievos were easier than the first game especially since you only have the 100 feathers and didn't have to get 100% synced with Ezio or complete everything 100%. You don't have to finish all the races, beat downs or assassination contracts to get 1K.
