Oh and although I'm not disagreeing with your lolinternet statement,, I should point out that MS's problem is the fact they somehow think the details they did give would just quell all the hate towards them, when it clearly has not.

You know it's like those trucks that have the sign that says "stay back 200 feet, not responsible for broken windows," bullshit. If your truck drops rocks onto the road, you are responsible for it. But I told you I'm not responsible, you know beforehand....doesn't matter.

So they can say "look at the games" all they want, but when you do a half-ass job of marketing your new product, you can't sit there and whine about how people take a dump on it.

So, maybe they do care about gamers still, but their shitty job of presenting it to all of us still hasn't sold me on it. They need to give some real details and not keep avoiding the issue and acting like we are assholes for wanting to know how they are changing console gaming so drastically....

Gee Snapple it's like you're arguing for the sake of arguing.

This!

The constant question dodging and smoke and mirrors illusions hurt them more than helped like they think it did. They literally let Sony walk all over them for the duration of E3 and in my mind let them sway a lot of loyal customers to the other consoles.

As for the digital thing, just because on Steam you get a few incentives here and there or game sales doesn't make it any cheaper than the physical market. You can have sales on the physical market just the same, doesn't make that any cheaper does it?

lol @ incentives argument. That's like saying Xbox games are cheaper because they throw you a free Doritos's game every year.

No it's not like saying that at all, if you preordered bio shock infinite on steam (an enough people did) you got xcom enemy unknown for free.

everyone forgets how much steam was hate in the beginning, but now it's what you want out of digital games.

the console isn't even out yet and you're all declaring "omg this is terrible."

and yes digital has factually been cheaper then retail, you can preorder arkham origins and a few other digital games online right now for 37.99, not on steam but the sales are still there even before games are being released. who knows how Microsoft will do it, but to flat out say digital isn't cheaper is wrong on all accounts.

I'm looking on steam right now and i'm not seeing any different prices then Gamestop. Promotions are completely different then "factually being cheaper". It makes sense to me for digital to be 20-30 dollars less but when has Microsoft ever turned away more money?

First off, quit generalizing. Yes some people are saying it's terrible. I am reserving judgment until I know what the hell I'm getting when I get an XB1. Yes you are right, it's not fair to judge yet, but the only ones who are to blame are MS. They have not given enough details and they keep acting like they are doing us gamers a favor, when it is not clear whether they are!

Being upset with the way a company treats its customers is totally acceptable. They've added all these features which may or may not be what the average gamer wants, then added a lot of extra stipulations, then basically told us if we didn't like it stick with the 360.

....where you are wrong is still in the digital realm. First off XB1 is not totally digital. you still buy a disc at the store. Steam is 100% digital. HUGE difference. So comparing the two is garbage. There hasn't been a console like this before, so yeah, I think it's totally fair for anyone to be skeptical of how well this will work for the consumer. It's clear how it would be beneficial to the publishers/developers but that doesn't necessarily equate to lower prices.

XB1 is NOT DIGITAL ONLY. Maybe it has to do with Michael Jordan's kids not being superstars that there is all this hate for the XB1,doesn't have anything to do with the lackluster job done by MS.

I can't take Snapple's argument seriously in any way, there's no sources and it sounds like a broken record defending something just for the sake of an argument

I've watched both of Microsoft's conferences and the console and the way they're handling it just doesn't bode well for anyone who likes to share games, which is most people that I know including myself. If it comes down to the fact that I have to have a headache just to play or share my games then I'm obviously going to lean towards the PS4 where everything is exactly like it is now as far as the used games policy goes and just popping in a disc and playing when I want no matter who bought the game originally.

Yeah I definitely agree. The biggest disconnect for me is presentation. Sony tries to dazzle you with facts and salesmanship while Microsoft just likes to shove crap in your face and tell you it doesn't stink. I suppose Nintendo is the creepy guy selling candy in the back of a van in this scenario. Anyways my point being Sony sold me a PS4. Microsoft just tells you to buy and if your unsatisfied with the sales pitch tough luck. I don't think the XBO will be bad but I have yet to hear what makes it particularly better then it's competitors. Probably because they spend 90% of their time talking about irrelevant aps and multimedia fluff.
