So now they're changing the used games policy but removing the sharing and some of the cloud features? I think they just like to isolate and piss off certain crowds.

it evens out though IMO since they said they will implement family sharing later on

If they're implementing it later then I guess it's fine, the fact that they act like they actually have to do anything on their end that would cause the cloud stuff to magically not work between now and release day is where they're going to piss people off. They're basically just pulling bullshit out of their ass and expecting people to roll over and ignore it

still gonna use the cloud, but I'm guessing the check daily was a big part of the cloud usage updating stuff.

Yes, I think the no online requirement meant they couldn't do the cloud stuff and giving away games on cloud. It's way too hackable otherwise, lol.

yeah they definitely delayed it so they can think of a way to get it to work with the policies now in place

I did have to lol at the watching 20 year olds playing Skyrim in the underwear comment.
Though this obviously was meant to be humorous, honestly I'm still a bit bitter about how MS decided to cram this down our throats instead of treating us all like adults and truly explaining how it could/would be good for the console.
Instead they acted like the derpy d-bags and sat in amazement for a solid week after E3 and wondered why preorders for the PS4 were beating the hell out of them.
My opinion is if they truly wanted to revolutionize gaming and put money in the developers pocket, they would go all digital. Games sold at retail stores still put money in the store's pocket, not all directly to the developer, and you know that is totally how steam works too

I think that's just a bullshit excuse, if 'they' (anonymous or whatever they call themselves), want to hack something then they're going to do it regardless of if the service is online only or not, it's just another way for Microsoft to back out of something they promised to save themselves some money, I think Sony is going to destroy them on the next generation of consoles just because of MS's arrogance, who knows.
