Incorrect. "No u" is the ultimate comeback.
Its rationale is sound, its logic bulletproof--it is irrefutable and a crushing, lethal blow to your opponents.
No u.
NOW GO FOAD, META.

You know what really grinds my gears.
It's when a game is just released, typically it's $59.99. Someone buys the game brand new. After just two weeks decides to trade it into Gamestop for a measly $17.00. Afterwards, Gamestop resales the now Pre-owned game for $54.99.
That's just $5.00 off a brand new copy of the same game! Seriously they pay you less than half the original cost and resale it for less than 10% of a brand new copy.

That's why I never trade in games there. Sell it on Amazon or trade it here.

It's not so much the trade in value Gamestop gives that upsets me, although it is shitty. It's the fact they sell a pre-owned game only $5.00 less than a brand new copy.

Totally agree on the Amazon tip. I quit going to Gamestop a while ago partly for the same reason but also I got tired of being asked every time (sometimes twice a week) by the same people if I wanted to pre-order...followed by a list of games that I had already ordered or had no interest in. I know the people are just doing their job so instead of being a dick I just stopped going there.
Grinding my gears is that damn Icona Pop song that was on a constant loop in NFS: Most wanted, and is now on every commercial that doesnt have that damn Robin Thicke song which also grinds my muthafuckin gears

I lost my copy of animal crossing new leaf, and after a week of searching I went out yesterday to buy a new one. The GameStop by me didn't have a used copy, so I decided to wait and go to the next closest one over the weekend. But then I changed my mind and just went for it, since I'd pay more in gas money than I would save buying it new.
Got home, popped it in my ds, made a town... And an hour later Evol comes home, sits down at my desk then comes in the kitchen and hands me my old game. It was under the mousepad- when I moved it, I didn't move it far enough.
Ughhhhhhh. And I can't return the stupid thing since I HADDDDD to open it.

What grinds my gears - Kinect Fun Labs - Why can my kids not play this game or series of games? They can play it on my profile, which is fine by me. I downloaded the whole series for my kids to play on my account then signed out so they could play on their offline accounts. They can't access the game without having an online account. WTF???? Family friendly? I think not!

Final Fantasy XIII is grinding my gears. I'm currently over 16 hours in doing linear "missions" that still feel like tutorials. The cut scenes are definitely a highlight but the dialogue is long winded and too forced. There is virtually no build up to any of the key emotional turning points. Especially ones involving Lightning as she has the emotional complexity of a finger painting. It's like parts of the story are missing and the game has to compensate by throwing in flashbacks every other chapter. (Much like a C grade novel).
The game is set up in a similar fashion to action games where you follow along narrow pathways with a maximum of 1-2 alternate routes to your next cut scene and subsequent boss. For the most part I can easily overlook the new "direction" as simplistic as it is however the combat is so freaking bland! Every boss battle requires a single strategy which usually just involves you micromanaging job switches and outlasting your opponent. Instead of conductor of a kick ass orchestra, I often just feel like a bored spectator mindlessly queuing up switches and spamming the (A) button.
I'm not sure how I feel about the characters or confusing plot at this point. (Which is odd after 16 + hours) I'm probably going to skip the last 4 chapters and give XIII-2 a try. I hear Tri-Ace (Valkyrie Profile, Star Ocean) helped make it more entertaining. FFXIII is not a bad game but I can't figure out why it's considered a good one either. It would have made a phenomenal action-adventure hack and slash experience if the combat didn't undermine it but it's coming up short in the RPG department.
/Rant.
