Republicans have fascist ideals and goals.
Disbanding unions
Forming a private militia (what the brownshirts started as)
Racism
Intolerance of non-Christian religions or atheism
Hatred for communism or socialism
Blaming economic strife on the foreign people
Catering to the elite businessmen and the wealthy
Desire to end all social assistance programs
Fanatical patriotism
Saying that fascism is a far right political party isn't saying that all right wingers are murderers, it is being factually accurate based on the definition of the political party and their beliefs.
Republicans are at best poorly educated and at worst extremely selfish, not necessarily evil. No more than any other political group, anyway...
Racism? So you're saying it's the Republicans goal to have all races hate each other? Seriously, just because Republicans want to cut back on the social programs and enforce the immigration laws does not mean their racist. And all politicians cater to the wealthy, how do you think Obama got all that money when running for President?
I'm not saying that it's their goal, I'm saying it's the reality. Not all republicans are racist, but most racists are republican. Repuvlicans hate brown people- they blame them for all the welfare. They hate Muslims- they blame them for terrorism. Skin color aside- you do realize, don't you, that racism doesn't always refer to other Americans? Talk about immigration for a bit and every republican starts spouting racist rhetoric. And Hitler rode a wave of Xenophobia to power.
And there's a difference between pandering to the wealthy with words and flat out doing every single thing you can do to benefit corporations and the wealthy who run them while taking from the general populous. Tax breaks for the wealthy is not the battle cry of the democrats- not even Obama.

This one isn't all bad though. However they don't care what union, and although I believe most are archaic at this point and increase laziness, there are several out there that I won't go as far as to say they are required, but they are still a bit of a necessary evil. Can't argue with the rest of the list which is why I don't claim to be republican anymore.

In the extremes....pretty much. I didn't pull the quote, but all political parties are evil. Lets spend x Billion dollars every few years to get our guy/gal elected (and have millions of people blindly follow said person because he/she is affiliated with whichever party). Then the non-winners don't even pay all of the bills, and all this helps who in the long run?
Plus most politicians are greedy and self serving. When was the last time you heard of one of these multi-millionaires (Democrat or Republican) really do anything to help out their fellow man....add this to our wonderful police the world policy (which I don't necessarily disagree with 100%) and it's no wonder plenty of foreign countries are not fond of us Americans.
Last note, which I find very funny. Many avid Christian voters go towards Republicans because of their views on social issues (gay marriage, abortion, etc), yet the Christian view is to help one's fellow man (the poor, disabled, etc), yet almost no Republican supports social programs etc. I find it amusing and sad at the same time.
But I digress. I'm going to bed and hope that I get a call for a job interview tomorrow morning.

You know the GOP has a serious problem with race relations when their ranking member who was assigned to run their Hispanic outreach program quits the party and reregisters as a Democrat. Nuff said.

little confused by this one, since most people that have money in our society have a better education (in theory). Unless of course you mean that they are naïve to pretty much anything outside of their own personal bubble, then I agree..
I don't mean the leaders of the party, I mean the members. While the party does cater to the wealthy, some of the poorest people I know are republicans. Seriously- 97% of my sons school gets free lunch, and everyone here is republican. The South is full of em. They also talk shit about welfare... Umm, pot? Kettle. I have to bite my tongue when these teachers send my kid home talking about paying for socialism with their taxes... Umm- I know what the teachers here make- they're probably getting all of their taxes back- ergo, it's not actually THEIR taxes paying for it... It's mine and I'm ok with it.
And yeah, the party leaders don't know anything outside of their own lives, but that's a choice. They don't care to know.
You're right- both sides are evil at the core. This last election put me between a rock and a hard place. And even though I will defend Obama when people compare him to Hitler (because it's factually inaccurate) the truth is that he's doing a shitty job. The same shitty job Romney would be doing if he had been elected, or whoever the mouthpiece for the Libertarians was last election. Whatshisname.
And why are there no politicians from our age group? Why are rich old men in charge?
That kind of grinds my gears as well.

Okay first off, missy, those waste-of-a-vote ineffectual mouthpiece Libertarians like Gary Johnson and Jim Gray are the only reason politicking isn't a completely boring clusterfuck.
Their straight-shooting, idealistic, improbable, hopelessly naive rhetoric is exactly what this country needs to slowly descend in to a state of government-sponsored anarchy as we all try to defend our hard-fought, long-emptied, stolen cornerstores from those damn Mulsins!!
Second off, think about what you're really saying when you ask why we don't have politicians our age--you're 72 years old.
As for "our" generation, do we really want Snapple Cap and Vermillion Haze making critical decisions?!

You also forgot to mention the fact that 9 of the 10 poorest states, ranking highest in unemployment, lowest in graduation rates, highest teen pregnancy rates, highest in government assistance paid vs lowest amount contributed in taxes, are all Southern red states that have enacted "Right to Work" legislation which is a farce. All thanks to Nixon and their Southern Strategy which blatantly stated that they were no longer gonna care about the African American vote and got all the racist Dixie Democrats to jump parties and give the South to the Republicans every election since.

I think she may have been referring to the tin foil hat sporting RINO Ron Paul who likes to say he's a Libertarian. Nobody knows who the actual Libertarian Party candidates are except for real Libertarian not these Ron/Rand Paul fanboys who like to pretend they're Libertarian but they keep voting Republican for some reason.

No, but it's more frustrating on the weekend when you want to go away but are stuck in traffic.
