My roommate was telling me how Pepper gets a suit and Tony can control multiple units with his mind, I thought he was joking...
I thought Cheadle did a good job as Rhodes but Howard was better.
Also, I think Avengers are going to have a big Hulk fight in 2 (i mean wtf they always end up fighting him) and the Hulk Buster armor will def show up then if not in IM3.

Both of those events are in the comics...although quite far into them.
Cheadle is a good "Support" actor much like Ruffalo. But they don't draw any box office $$. That's what they care about.

I haven't followed comics in a LONG time, but I've heard about that story line and it DOES sound great, it's a shame they can't tie Spider-man into the universe anytime soon. Also, in the new Iron Man 3 trailer is that a hulk buster armor that plows through the cargo box towards the end of the trailer? Or just a big prototype style armor?
Well it looks like his crew is suiting up. Pepper is getting a suit. Whether it's her actual comic book variant (Rescue) IDK. I would not be surprised if that "Melee" suit is Happy Hogan aka John Favreau. It does look like the Hulk Buster though!
Looks cool if it's legit

Well at least we can be sure the Ant Man/Giant Man movie will be a huge success and keep Marvel's movie division afloat, right?
...right?

So Robert Bowney Jr then?
I think without him the Avengers would be extremely bland unless they widened the cast, Captain America is very meh on his own, Thor is good, Hulk is pretty one dimensional while being the actual Hulk, and the other characters aren't really worthy of caring about them in a spotlight role (Hawkeye, Black Widow), just my opinion though.
Edit- I love him as Sherlock Holmes so I hope they do another as well (I've heard the third will be out this Christmas).
Chris Evans was a terrible Captain America but a passable Human Torch. Marc Ruffalo is nothing but a poor stand in for Edward Norton. Hemsworth (Thor) is a relatively new face and can't carry a ensemble cast. Hawkeye and Black Widow are secondary characters. They will have to replace Downey and I don't see Don Cheadle filling that void.
Edit: They will also likely bring in the new Spiderman (Andrew Garfield) into the Avengers at some point. But this is not necessarily a good thing.
i can see the rdj issue, i mean the guy has been iron man for going on 5 films, i can see him getting sick of being stark, as for the issue with him not being in the avengers it could be worked around, they plan on introducing other "avenger" heros in the near future, will the avengers movie still make it without rdj? yes, thor, capt hulk and the other heros can carry the film, im not sure how they plan on filling the void but it can be done.
the spidey issue, his live action rights still (and im assuming will for quite some time) belong to sony, much like the x-men movie rights belonging to fox they are just not going to let them go, while cruzing the web forums a month back i read that sony could sell them (spideys rights) back to marvel but that was when they were posting major losses and this seemed like one of the most expendable assets they had at the time.
jamie foxx has been cast as electro in the upcoming spidey film, there are set pics of him all made up as electro floating around the web.
iron man 3 is due out in less than 3 weeks!!

I hear they already approached Shaq for the lead in that. But what we really need is Steel II!

i had posted in another forum about the increasing number of marvel heros/villins that were being "re imagined" as black instead of the text book version of the marvel character, this is one of them, recently spidey was a black kid in that dimention/world, fury went black a while back and so-on, im pretty sure foxx can bring a great amount of talent to electro and the film will be great, the pics do look weird though, i hope the cgi and camra effects turn out a little bit better than the set version.

Samuel L Jackson totally blew that role out of the water. I think they could have picked a better villain for Foxx...

totally agree about the jackson role, i could picture another hasselhoff fury, as for foxx it remains to be seen, i will have a better opinion when the trailer comes out, what was the other role he is set to play?

I think it was Lynch from Kane and Lynch? Not sure if they're still doing that movie though?

Electro is one thing but he's set to play the psychotic hillbilly "Lynch" from "Kane and Lynch". A bit of a stretch...
Edit: It's going through rewrites at the moment. Due to them having to basically recreate the main character.
