I'm looking forward to it but not overly excited like I was for Iron Man 3 (such a disappointment). The 1st Wolverine movie was enjoyable but lacked something that could have put it up there with the original X-Men movie. Nevertheless, I'll be heading to the theater so I at least think it will be worth paying to watch rather than waiting for it to be released on Blu-Ray.

yes and no, i love the x-men in almost every incarnation to date and jump at the chance to get another film but to be honest im not too excited about another FOX x-men flick :no:

, they are entertaining but just lack the marvel touch, their storys never seem to follow the arc's and on top of that they tend to screw up almost every thing (deadpool in wolverines origins film, nuff said). i will no doubt see it at some point just not anytime soon, more intrested in the thor movie, also it seems marvel and netflix are under some kind of agreement, the last like 4 recent marvel (in house, not fox or sony) have shown up on netflix instant, kinda sweet for the marvel fans.

finally got around to watching the 2 new marvel animated shows (hulk & the agents of smash & avengers assemble), both are good, the hulk show bieng a bit lighter than the avengers but still watchable, the avengers assemble is a solid show, the cash that went into this one does show, i still wonder why the canceled avengers EMH though, i have been out of touuch with marvel stuff as of late but if i remember right we should be getting the thor film this month or next (dark planet). fyi both animated shows are on disney xd (check your SP for channel/time) :sorry:

ABC and Marvel teamed up to make a show. Check out "Agents of Shield" starring Agent Coulson from the movies. The premiere is Sept 24 8/7c.

I just think (meh). Obviously a TV show isn't going to have the budget of a normal Marvel movie, so this was what they came up with. If I had any say it in, I would have proposed it from the perspective of the miniseries MARVELS, where the perspective in the aftermath of the Avengers, are people just like you and me. You can have very limited appearances from Marvel characters doing battle, introducing a plethora of their catalog, while keeping most of the story focused around well-written, "ordinary" people like you and me, living in a world among Gods:

They could have even called the show MARVELS, which would have had more marketing value, and with such a big catalog to pull from, these brief appearances could have gone on for indefinite seasons all throughout the Marvel Phase 2, 3, 10, etc. Certain members of the "main" human cast could have brief encounters with a hero or two- & could also be suddenly killed off, like LOST, or WALKING DEAD, a la living in a world of Gods, anything can happen & no one is safe.

The first 5% of the plot for good movies, games, the skeleton of it, is what really determines winners and losers.

Just an FYI: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is being directed by Joss Whedon, who directed The Avengers movie, so it has a pretty good chance to be a successful TV show.

So far Agents of SHIELD has been good, although reading what SeanPC said makes me wish they had gone that route.

I am thinking about getting the Lego game. Lego Lord of the Rings was pretty neat in the trial I played, it started to feel a little less generic-ly "lego game".

If the Marvel Heroes one can manage to not just feel like a re-skinned lego game (this is what lego batman and indiana jones felt like to me) then hell yeah. Tiny Thor with even tinier Mjolnir ARISE!

I've only seen the first episode of Agents of Shield so far, and it was OK. The one girl, I think her name is Skye, is such a stupid, annoying bitch. And as for Thor 2 coming out next month, again it looks OK. I will say that out of the four MAIN Avengers (excluding Black Widow and Hawkeye) I think Thor is my least favorite.

The demo is fun, I think I will grab this bad boy, but not right away at $60.

You get to use Iron Man, Spider-man and Hulk/Bruce Banner. The mechanics are cool--you can freely transform into hulk, Iron Man can lock on to multiple silver points and fire lego missiles, and Spiderbrat can reveal stuff with his spider sense.

Also the flying and web-swinging is cool; I think this one will be way less annoying to collect all the 43983598 different items you need.
