this should probably go in the tv thread but, disney xd has a new spiderman airing, "ultimate sipderman" is a great retelling of the series that is full of action,humor and great nods to the spidey series of the past (spiderman and his amazing friends),if your a fan of any of the animated spiderman series check this show out, you will be glad you did. not 100% sure but i think the new episodes are on sundays,check your tivo dvr guide for the details.

i wan't sure when it was on since i have my DVR set to reccord all new episodes, i like the new look to the enemys like green goblin and venom, also the humor in it, the fact it dosen't take it self too seriously is awesome, the best spiderman series IMO is the '93 series, in terms of story,action and accurate comic relay of the story of spiderman it is the best, this new series is already on it's 2nd season so it's looking really good, at least it outlasted the last spidey series with NPH as spidey, the series wasn't bad but they just had bad luck and the series never made it past like the 6th episode.
got a few graphic novels for x-mas one being grant morrison's new x-men #2, im starting to really get into it but lack the info about the first volume, shopping around on amazon i found a ton of them and am in the process of building a massive wishlist.
i used to collect regular comics but nowadays almost 5 bucks per soft cover is insane, graphic novels are a great way to get the storys you want and save like 40 bucks in the process,ntm you don't need to carry around like 10 comics just to read one storyline.

your right, the series was "the spectacular spiderman" and was aired on the kids wb, it ran for like 2 seasons (26 episodes) then was cancelled, i did catch a few episodes but not many,it was followed up by the spiderman with NPH as the lead which was cancelled after 1 season.

yea,im slowly getting back into collecting again, this time around im going to invest in graphic novels instead of regular comics, i love the way you get the entire story in one or two novels as opposed to buying like 5 different series and like 20-30 different comics just to finish the story your on, i think after i get the new x-men series (morrison) volumes 1-3 im going to move on to the messiah complex then jump back to the house of M and some of the older stuff recently copied over to the novels.
what graphic are you reading atm?

last night i read batman the long halloween tonight i might be plan on reading punisher max untold tales *(added much later in the day) change of plans i think i goin to read deathstroke new 52 tonight

i know this post is going to seem like a waste of time to the people that already know but it's mostly for the people who don't and i refrenced this thread in my reviw blog since i just did the avengers and din't have the space to explane marvel's grand plan in greater detail.
marvels plan for their movie universe is to expand & branch it to all of their future films this is kinda simple if you know their comic universe but proved to be a HUGE risk for them in the recent years.
-all future films will have a tie to the marvel universe, weather it be directly through a movie like the avengers (which tied in 5-7 heros/villans and the supporting cast members over the corse of like 5 years) or in a less abrupt way (mentioning certain heros that are/were/or in the comic lore do appear in the hero's world,like iron man may talk about the hulk in his solo film or their may be a cameo by a hero/villan that has happened in the comics,just as long as it follows the comic lore)
basiclly they want to create a movie universe that mirriors their comic universe, in the comic universe any marvel hero can run into any other hero/villan in any given day like the real world, hulk or bruce banner can and has run into many different marvel charcters since being created in the comic, they want to make sure their movies all share this same universe so things like crossovers,team up's & cameos not only make sense but are recived the same way as they would be in their comics.
they have a pretty huge plan for the next 10 years in terms of films made by their studio, the avengers was the end of phase 1 which took many cameos and small plot build up's in a handfull of their solo hero films to ensure the story and each hero that joined the movie made sense and already had a piece of the big avengers puzzle put in there.
from phase 1's end they plan on not only introducing a number of other heros to the universe in the next few years (ant man,the protectors of the galaxy) but building on the stuff they have put out (iron man 3,capt america winter soldier,avengers 2).
that's about it for marvel's big movie plans, if you already knew about it then good for you if not then you welcome.
