I didn't like oberyn in the books but I'm crazy about him in the show. Idk why.

The actor definitely had a lot of charisma.

Yeah I feel like the show episodes' writing as well as the actor's performance boosted my interest in the character a lot. Same with Lord Varys "the spider"--the actor's performance and the show writing made him a lot more interesting to me, as I remember pretty much hating him in the books.
Spoiler: Click here to toggle spoilerI think Oberyn is going to need a lot of band-aids though, he got a big booboo

Last night's episode was great. That giant arrow kill was crazy.

Too much focus on one place considering there's only one left this season, and there was a bunch of filler in the episode and close to 15 minutes of commercials at the end. This was a 45 minute episode. That's shitty.

I might be the only person in the world, but I honestly do not care about Jon Snow. I don't care about his love for that ginger minge. I don't care about the night watch. I just don't care. I understand that the whole thing is a huge plot point, but the show's writers have just failed to endear me to the whole wall plot. When the realization that this episode was not going to leave the wall, I was infinitely disappointed.
The finale had better deliver.

Jon
Spoiler: Click here to toggle spoileris probably going to be the single most important character in the series (Danny's lost brother theory)...or the most irrelevant depending on how the beginning of the next book goes. Considering he was stabbed like 10+ times.
I think the biggest difference between the book and show in regards to him is he is completely overshadowed by Danny on TV where as in the novels he is pretty much the central protagonist after

I had a feeling last week that they would devote this entire episode to the battle at The Wall like they did with the battle for Kings Landing in season two and like that episode, I think there was a little lost in translation. I just don't think either episode was quite able to the display the magnitude of either battle. That being said, I still thoroughly enjoyed this episode but if they're goons make this a habit, they need to either add a couple more episodes and make em 12 episode seasons or pick a few special episodes per season and make em 90 minutes like FX has done with Sons of Anarchy the last couple seasons. I think they'll make up for it next week with a crazy finale though.
