The new trailer looks like they went full action instead of RTS.

I think I'm one of the few that preferred dragon age 2 combat over the first one so I'm happy with that.

I don't know if I'd say I preferred 2 over 1, but I didn't hate 2 like everyone seems to.

2 was awesome. It just didn't have the epic plot-line of the first one.

So this and the new lord of the rings game both release on the same day and the new batman is the week after. There's going to be some conflicts in my gaming schedule.

Origins had a lot of awesome qualities to it, but the muddy visuals and slightly awkward combat exposed it as a PC port.
It was tons of fun, though, and the options for your character were excellent. In one of my games, I was a mage that wore heavy armor and used a huge 2-handed sword--not many RPGs let you do that kind of thing. I will always have good memories of casting a huge, fiery tornado in the middle of a pack of enemies, then unsheathing my giant sword and charging in.
2 had a fantastic combat system and the visuals were nice, very cinematic at times, but yeah the game lacked in the areas of story and adventure.
I liked both games for what they were, and I'm looking forward to 3 as so far everything they have released about it looks and sounds good.

Yeah that's what I usually did too.
1st playthrough male rogue
2nd playthrough female mage / healer only, with heavy armor & weapons
3rd playthrough (japan-version) rogue again
4th playthrough (japan eventually), another female mage badass
before Inquisition gets out, you need at least 2 playthroughs to get your achievements, for the story-based decisions.
Will probably be similar for Inquisition. Start male, then go female on hardcore / insanity, did the same for Mass Effect- play for the story/romance, then play to survive.

If it's remotely as good as Mass Effect 3's MP this will be a great addition. Otherwise it's a waste of content space.
