Kindergarten Cop (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – not an altogether bad comedy vehicle for Arnold, though it wasn’t up there with his best.
6/10
Transcendence (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – had much more potential than it delivered on. The general idea is how advanced can science get before it severely damages what it means to be human. The idea isn’t executed terribly well, and some of the major plot points are a bit head scratching. Definitely worth a watch, but don’t let the cast get you too excited.
6/10
See No Evil 2 (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – I genuinely thought the first was a fun slasher. This one has a solid cast (horror fans will recognize the faces), but is lacking with the brutality – as bad as that makes me sound. For an R-rated horror, it plays it a little safe. Only the most ardent slasher fans would get much from this.
4/10
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – I thought the first had some good moments, but was a little long, and I found this to suffer the same fate. Once the games start, it picks up nicely, but it was a little slow getting started. I thought they did an excellent job leaving the cliffhanger at the end; I haven’t read the novels, so I genuinely have no idea what’s coming next.
6.5/10
Green Lantern: Emerald Knights (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – better than I expected, but it was a DC animated feature, which are usually pretty solid. This would have been a great one to watch before the live-action film, as there’s a lot of background given to some of the characters, as well as the Lanterns. The anthology format works better in these to me than the single, stand-alone story.

First viewing? Where have you been? lol
I'M A COP YOU IDIOT! I'M DETECTIVE JOHN KIMBLE!
PUT THAT COOKIE DOWN! DO IT NOW!
Who is your daddy and what does he do?
It's not a tumor, it's not.
Plus it took place in the same town as Goonies. That right there makes it awesome.
Purge Anarchy 5/10 - It was Ok. I liked the first one better and I didn't think the first one was all that great to begin with.

LOL, yeah I kind of missed the boat on this one. I had seen/heard all of the great lines from it, though.
Whole Ten Yards 5/10
The movie was over 2 hours long but it still felt like they could tell a bit more of the story.
It ended abruptly.
Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – liked this significantly more than I expected, given my sketchy track record with Marvel animated films. The story was original, the characters were different, and the post-apocalyptic (sort of) setting was nice. The villain was Ultron, so this was a nice primer for the upcoming Avengers, which looks excellent.
6.5/10
Blended (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – I have to say I had really low expectations going into this, which was perfectly reasonable with Sandler’s filmography from the last five or so years. I thought this was much better than the last few movies he’s released, though it does have some problems. The supporting cast is for the most part good, and it’s amazing how much more chemistry Sandler and Barrymore have in comparison to Sandler and Anniston (Just Go with It). It’s not something I’m likely to watch again, but was a serviceable comedy.
6.5/10
Million Dollar Arm (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – Makes for an interesting, entertaining watch, even if it follows the tired old Disney sports movie formula. It has all of the requisite clichés, but still mananges to remain solid (they always are). Worth a watch for fans of sports and particularly baseball; the integration of the Indian guys to American culture provided a few laughs as well.
6.5/10
Wrong Turn 6 (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – I’ve been forgiving with the Wrong Turn series, even the later ones, but this will probably be my last hoorah for these. I genuinely like the first two, found the third and fourth to be decent slashers, but thought the fifth one fell quite a bit. If the fifth fell off a bit, this one falls through the floor. They try to work in this real weird incest theme in this one, and though I believe erotica has its place, there’s just too much of it here. As much as I wanted to like this, it was easily one of the worst movies I’ve seen in the last year.
2/10
Rush (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – Good, much better than I expected. For someone who knows next to nothing about Formula One racing, I found myself very intrigued. The acting from Bruhl and Hemsworth is also a strong point, and visually it’s excellent. The Blu-ray was rock solid with excellent visuals and audio too. Don’t let the subject matter fool you, this is a solid movie and worth a watch.
7/10
The Monuments Men (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – This got pretty rough reception from critics and film-goers alike, but I thought it was a decent drama, even if it didn’t do anything particularly well. It has some laughs, a little war drama, some romance, but doesn’t tie them together too well. The cast is excellent, with Bill Murray stealing every scene, as usual.
6.5/10
The Invincible Iron Man (Blu-ray, 1st viewing) – standard Marvel animated fare, nothing more, nothing less. They use a different origin story than in the live action film, and it’s nowhere near as good to me. Fans of Iron Man might enjoy it more than I did, but adjust your expectations.
5/10
Ouija - Decent PG-13 scary movie. Some of the deaths were dumb but just a redbox rental. 5/10
Justice League: Doom - Tried watching through 3 different times and finally finished it. It's not terrible but not my favorite out of the bunch. Worth a watch if you're a fan of DC animations. 6/10
Lego Batman Cartoon Network Special - Really good special! Enjoyed it the whole way through definitely worth a watch if you don't mind the lego movie. 7/10.
Annabelle - 5/10 - Didn't really care for it. Thought the original movie was much better. Spent more time on my phone than actually watching this.
Guardians of the Galaxy - 10/10 - Awesome movie, would recommend to anyone who is a fan of Marvel. Would watch again and again.

Lollll. Jingle all the Way will always be my favorite Arnold movie, but kindergarten cop is up there.
