Thought the pacing was great. The two and half hours flew by. They covered the book well for what I remembered. I liked the additions to the cast like Jeffrey Wright and Amanda Plummer (Honey Bunny from Pulp Fiction) as Nuts & Bolts. I'm curious to see who they get to replace Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

It was good but I don't quite understand why people were losing their shit and creaming their pants. The raccoon was less annoying than I was expecting and Zoe Saldana is cool.
The Giver - 3/5
I have always loved this book and though the movie was competent it failed to have the same poignant and contemplative effects. Additionally, the book was purposely vague when describing the communities so the way they "filled in the blanks" here just didn't do it for me.The actors were unfamiliar and good, save for Jeff Bridges who was outstanding in his role. Despite my not liking it much, it's still highly recommended to fans of Logan's Run, Soylent Green, Brazil, Children of Men, City of Lost Children.
Lucy - 2/5
Interesting concept, mediocre execution. I think with better writers and a huge budget they could have really had something with this movie. Despite the boredom, Scarlett Johanson and Morgan Freeman are both pretty great. Not really recommended to anyone.
Grand Budapest Hotel - 3/5
This was a very good Wes Anderson film, with great location shots, whimsical performances from familiar actors, and that awkward dialog that is so endearing, but I couldn't quite get in to it. Still, it's recommended to fans of Royal Tenenbaums, Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Rushmore, Moonlight Kingdom, etc.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For - 4/5
I love the art direction they use in the Sin City movies. This second one was overall better to me--it had a little less action but the characters were more interesting, plus Eva Green's anatomy was in view for most of the movie and that's enough to get a 4 out of 5 from me. My only complaint is I would have liked to see more of Rosario Dawson's character and the other stuff happening in old town.
Oculus - Okay all I have to say is... Give me 5 million and I can make a movie worth that. The first 52 minuets are super boring and then it doesn't really get any better. I'm pissed and this is one of the worst scary movies I've seen in a while. I saw the plot twist from 2002 that how predictable this was and It inspired me to make a better movie. 2/10

Kinda felt the same way, the film was pretty slow and cliché in terms of story, I felt lime I was waiting for the big scare the whole time, they did tap into a really great idea for their horror move/Franchise, I'm really interested to see if they hit a sequel with a faster more intense horror film, gave it a 3/5
Stage Fright - Musical and Slasher and Meatloaf. What else could you want? I enjoyed it and it's also funny! Check it out if you wanna see glee kids get slashed!!! 7.5/10
Leprechaun Origins - Didn't know this was coming out so soon. Anyways it's a reboot through wwe and it's way different than the others. It's just a normal recycled movie plot with a big name. It is watchable and not really that bad but then again it's nothing new. Only one part I was like that was pretty cool but other than that it's just a rent if your a fan of the series and wanna support it! I'd give this one a 6/10
An interesting mystery/suspense movie with a great cast of relatively unknown people. The main girl protagonist and the french cop are especially great. Highly recommended to fans of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Memento, Inception, and similar head-game movies.
As Above So Below - 2.5/5 NNR
I really liked the concept here but ultimately too much of the movie was shaky cam and lackluster character development that didn't go anywhere. Some really cool shots of lesser-known spots in Paris as well as mentions of occult and metaphysical concepts that are probably unknown to most people. Hard to recommend to anyone except fans of more suspense/less gore horror movies and people in to occult stuff.
Pompeii - This was awesome! I enjoyed it the whole way through. I think it's way better than most of these types of movies to come out this year and Kit Harrington and Keifer Sutherland did great. I'd give this one an 8/10
Good Burger - I loved Kenan and Kel as a kid but for some reason I finally got around to watching this last night. I loved it and yeah it's cheesy but it had me laughing alot! Definitely worth a watch if you wanna go back and see them together again. I'd give this a 7/10
