yup. i say this every day.
i don't want to enrage anyone, but the people who support mcain are either making 100K a year, or they're probably too young to realize what that man's intentions are.
as a side note, i'd like everyone to be aware that mcain supports shipping US jobs over-seas. this helps our government, money-wise, but it doesn't help us. i'm in the USW union, and i can tell you that just ONE of our companies going over-seas will cost 400 americans their jobs.

100k a year my ass, I support McCain and I don't make 100k a year and my parents support McCain and their salaries put together don't make 100k a year.
can you give me a good reason as to why you're voting for him, then?
as i said, i'm not trying to piss anyone off, but mcain is not the answer.

Truthfully, I believe neither candidate is the answer. Both have some issues that make sense on paper while other issues that they have are absolutely batshit crazycakes.
As it seems to come down to the last couple of times I've voted, I'm simply voting for the lesser of two evils and believe that whoever wins will be a one-term president because it's an all-around mess that they will be inheriting.

Am old enough, registered, and will vote.
What is truly sad is most people do not understand the true issues. Did you see the recent interviews of potential voters in Harlem? The interviewer totally switched things around between what Obama and McCain stand for. Every person said they were voting fro Obama because they liked his stand in the issues. BUT, the issues were totally switched around on them.
So, do these people really know what is going on, or are the voting out of blind stupidity?
Also many people just want to change things and feel since Obama is a Democrat he will get things changed. Do they forget that the President cannot just change things? Do they also forget Congress has been controlled by the Democrats since 2006 and that since they have been in control of Congress the economy has taken a total nose dive since then?
With the current economic bail outs the next president will have a major hole to dig out of. So because of this they will not be able to enact a good deal of the programs they wish.
It makes me totally sick they way people say the totally understand the issues and they actually have no clue. All they do is listen to the news and hear this or that person is leading so they vote for that person.
So, with that said I will be voting for McCain. He has a definite plan to keep this country strong. Unlike Obama who plans to cut our military, just like Carter and Clinton did, McCain will keep us strong. McCain will base his tax program on the current Bush tax program, not the Clinton Program like Obama. By the way, the middle class is paying less now in taxes than they did under Clinton. Obamas planned cuts are based on Clintons tax system. His cuts for the middle class will actually be an increase over the current tax rates.
I trust a man who has served his country. Who has been in Washington for 25 years and before that in the US Military. Obama has been in Washington, not even four years and in politics for only 10 years. He was in his Muslim school in Indonesia while John McCain was serving in our military.
So that, and many other reasons is why I am voting fro John McCain.

Sorry, I don't think you can pin the economy on the Democratic congress. The effects of the government aren't usually immediate on the economy. Those in office now will determine the future economy, not the current. In any case, the economy naturally fluctuates. I look at the recession as an inevitability to eventually better economic times than before. I'm not going to pretend I know a lot about economics, but I do know there are enough factors to ensure that no one group is responsible.

Belief in capitalism? Belief in a smaller government? You don't need me to explain the Republican ideals, do you? I would not vote for McCain, but I can recognize, and agree with, many of his stances on issues.

That surprises me. The military services are traditionally republican.
