Lol how does that make sense? Unless you are saying that people will spend all their money on black Friday.
Otherwise people expect a deal on black Friday, I wouldn't be releasing my console/games until after that day, otherwise people would whine about it not being on sale. Makes a lot better sense to make more money off the consoles than discount them....

wii u didn't have a sale and still sold incredibly well on black friday, so have ipads, etc.
missing out on the biggest shopping day of the year is just dumb.

Wrong. Biggest shopping day of the year is always the Saturday before Christmas (Edit: Unless Christmas falls on a weekend). Everyone just assumes Black Friday is. But it's not.

I don't see it releasing that late in November. Battlefield 4 releases in October and CoD:Ghosts and Watch Dogs releases in early November.
They have said a lot of things were not true, but then ended up being true
But we'll see. I was hoping for early November myself........2014

ok even if that's true, why miss the second biggest shopping day of the year? it still wouldn't make sense and hurt sales when your competitor most likely would be out then.
if a kid asks for ps4 and Xbox and parent goes out Black Friday and only one is available, obviously they will buy that one instead of waiting.

Lmao! It's not even the second biggest, usually falls between 4th and 8th.

from the research I found, black friday has been the biggest shopping day of the year since 03 (and that saturday and cyber monday which are 3 of top 10) shopping days of the year) would all be missed. that's incredibly dumb, and frankly I don't understand your argument besides "lol that day isn't the biggest" and doesn't actually argue that it is still dumb to miss that whole weekend.

Evol, I'm busy trolling Snapple and you come in here with your logic and ruin it
Snapple - Wikipedia is not research. Only thing I saw was that it did top out in 2003 and 2005. Which is probably explained by the fact that many stores have increased the hours they are open. I'd be willing to bet money that in an hour by hour basis Saturday before Christmas still wins out. Plus the data previously was from the ICSC (which gets data from retailers) which hasn't released estimated data since 2006, Wikipedia uses ShopperTrak as it's source which consists of government estimates and their own data. Not exactly a good pool of data when it's two sources.
Regardless, people will buy it whenever they want. Who cares if it's in stores on Black Friday? I'd buy it before or after, unless it's on sale on that day, which likely it will not be. The reason this argument is moot is because it probably will be released in early November. But pulling random things out of one's behind doesn't make an argument now does it?

No go ahead and post your links. I mean you've obviously done loads of research, so why don't you share how wrong I am...
