I know the commercial, I thought it was pretty good as well. A lot more realistic than how they usually advertise with some perfect couple, a beaming new mom and a supportive dad-to-be. That isn't real at all!
It grinds my gears that you say that isn't real at all. So have you went around the world and asked every single mom to be and depending on the situation the dad to be what they feel? If you have then fine but if you haven't go ask all of them

This was grinding my gears as well. So I took a two dollar pay cut and changed jobs. Life is too short not to enjoy it.

Nah, I was just being sarcastic, bro. I was playing off how it's a popular stereotype to have the new-dad be all non-committal and unenthusiastic.
"Real" is that every person has their own way of responding to situations.

My friend and her husband have 2 kids, a 2 year old and a 8 month old, or 10 month old, or... I don't know, under a year. Her husband has 2 kids from a previous marriage and they're dirt poor. Like she stays home and keeps trying to start businesses, and he insists his ugly ass is an actor, so he refuses to work unless it's a part in a movie, and then he mostly works for free. Still, though, she always buys herself shit like she has income, and spends money on the dumbest shit. Whatever, their lives, idc.
But now she's posting pics of the 2 year old in tae Kwan do (I didn't even know they taught kids that young) and it grinds my gears that I can't be like "bitch, let me save you $150 a month... You want to teach him some discipline, try potty training him."
Of course, then I would be a bad person... I just keep telling myself "it's none of my business, it's none of my business..." but I know that in a few months, she'll be bitching to me about him not supporting them adequately. Ugh.... Biting my tongue sucks, but she doesn't take my advice anyway.
I hate facebook sometimes. So many fake ass bitches patting each other on the back for being fake.
