So I played the demo today and it was WAY better than expected, actually pretty damn fun, made me contemplate buying the game tomorrow, still not sure on the 1600 point price but the world looks big enough to keep you busy for a while.

It's worth it. The patch will fix the main things I don't like minus the graphics.

Yeah it's definitely like the Walking Dead. The different enemy types scream Left 4 Dead though.

The graphics didn't seem too bad, actually had a Walking Dead style vibe (the Telltale one).

So it's like FarmVille/Simpsons tapped out/bug village with zombies? For 1600 points? Passsss for now...
More like GTA/Sims/Left for Dead/Kingdom for Keflings
Ohhh... That's better.

I really like this game, but 2 things are driving me nuts. The first of course is that the game runs while you aren't playing it. Yesterday I had like 800 influence and a huge stockpile of resources and today I load it up and people are starving and my influence is under 30.
The other thing is the glitches. My God there are annoying ass glitches in this game. 1 major one is driving and hitting invisible catapults. I was doing a mission where you trade food for medicine and on my way back to the church when I hit some invisible thing in the middle of the road, my car shoots like 200 feet in the air and my dumb ass people decide to get out of the car and fall to their deaths. I'd stop playing it until they patched the game, but then everyone would die of starvation.

They may have had more food stored than they could hold in storage when that happens they would lose 50 stockpiles in 10 minutes. I have played through the game twice now and have never experienced that and have taken pretty good sized breaks and have only come back to losing a very small amount of off each stockpile. It shows what you lose daily (real life time) and I have never went over that stat in a break period.
I personally enjoyed the game it was great and everyone on my list playing it is in love with it, I will probably play through it a 3rd time whenever the update comes out.

That sounds like my worst fears coming true when I heard about that feature...I've been working overtime every week since April and I can only play for a few hours a day so losing my progress that I made the day before every single day after is a huge turn off. The game was really fun when I played earlier but that one feature is really keeping me from the purchase, people were saying that they were losing 50 stockpiles of food in 10 minutes of not playing over on X360a and I think that needs to seriously be addressed ASAP

I'm laid off so I have nothing to do lol so I played nothing but this game I did everything that popped up on my map on both playthroughs. I would say 8-10 hours for a playthrough I didn't pay much attention but it also depends how long it takes missions to pop up on your map, mine seemed to come faster than my buddy who I was in a party with and who started the same time as me. It also depends on how much scavenging you do and exploring though all the houses and buildings.

2 playthroughs already? How long does the game take and did you do side missions or just the main story?

I would yes... I've had more fun playing this than any other zombie/survival related game or arcade game I have played in a long time. I you don't have the time to play it right now then I would wait because every real life 24 hours your supplies will go down, I think it stops after a certain amount of time from what I have heard not sure though.

They are patching it next week. I'd get it then. There is no other "Survival" horror game that emphasizes survival like this. Once they patch it to where my party members won't die off without me I'll be ecstatic.
Also they have enemy types like Tanks/Charger/Hunters/Screamers etc. The regular zombies mix it up between the "Walker" and "28 Days Later" varieties. You never know if one is going to hobble over to you or jog you down and pounce. Zombies are also extremely inconsistent. They could all funnel into the same door way or flank you like a spec op's squad. Expect the unexpected.
Edit: Apparently co-op is not as far fetched as I believed. The devs had it in mind from the start but left it out due to memory constraints. This game is the second fastest selling arcade title and if it continues expect some interesting DLC. I just don't see how multiplayer would mesh with the current set up.
