I'm playing Thief on 360 (redbox'd it) and it is ok but... I don't know. It's missing something. The art style and presentation are great but it feels like I am being funneled to specific things whereas I vaguely remember the original Thief being more open and you had to find your way around??
I dunno, it's been a long time and I played the first one on PC. I do like how this game doesn't have like a minimap and you can't see enemy guards' vision cones.
I agree with what P was saying earlier though, it would work better in third person. At least give the option!

I have it on PS4 and I stopped playing it already. Don't really care for it. The controls on PS4 are not all that great. You have to use the touch pad to select arrows/throwables/health packs and it's not the easiest to use. I did accidentally open a mini map. I think it's on the D-Pad? Down arrow, I believe.

A 6 is not a shit review. It's above average- but barely. It should not be given to a game that blows donkey balls, it should be given to a game that is "meh." A basically nondescript game that fails to separate itself from the pack in any way (or a game that sucks in one area but has another to balance it out) but is still playable.
The way reviewers in the mainstream gaming sites review games, a 10 is average, an 8 is bad, and a 7 or below shouldn't be played. -_- MAKE USE OF THE FUCKING TEN POINT SCALE, DON'T SKEW EVERYTHING INTO THE END!!!!!

I totally agree. It's warping our perspectives because they review games, beat them all to hell. Not one positive remark for 4 paragraphs and then give it a 6 or 7. IGN is the worst for doing this.
I'm reading the Castlevania reviews right now and can't figure out where it's getting all the points because it's nothing but complaints.

Game informer is equally as bad as ign in that aspect. Very fairly does a high profile game get below a 6 from them.
