Thinking about getting the port royale 3 game since its on sale for 5 bucks, has anyone here played it? I read the review over on TA and it seems similar to like a Civilization game/Age of Empires, can anyone confirm?

I thoroughly enjoyed Mafia III. It's visually stunning. The storyline and acting, and soundtrack were all terrific. Donovan is now one of my all time favorite supporting characters, especially after the cutscene during the credits. I was beyond pleased to see them bring Vito back as a major player after the way they ended Mafia II. I was also glad and yet a little heartbroken to finally learn what became of Joe.

So I'm really into Final Fantasy XV. I've heard so many bad things about the end that I'm prolonging it- I'm guessing if I blew through the story I'd have about 5 hours left, but I'm doing all these fetch quests and leveling up right now. Sitting in chapter 8, and everything is open and unblocked so that's cool. But man, is the travel in this game slooooowwwww!!!

Found a Rock Band 4 bundle with the Rivals expansion and Jaguar guitar controller on Amazon for 39.99. Can anyone who already has and plays it tell me if there's an easier way to find all the DLC songs you purchased for the previous titles in the game. I've spent a couple hours today scrolling through the marketplace on the dashboard and still have a shit ton of albums and songs that I still need to find.

Instead of starting the game, go to manage game and they should be under ready to install.

I am looking so very forward to firing this title up. I just wanted to finish Skyrim up before playing this one because from everything that I have seen, there is going to be a lot of time invested in this one. For the traveling, don't you get a car to cruise around in?

FF15 is so freaking fun man, most fun I've had with a FF in a long time. Even though I like the old turn-based ones, 15's faster real-time combat is great fun too and makes it easy to grind levels without even realizing it.

Yes you get a car but it is pretty slow until you get the final upgrade for it. You can also rent chocobos to run around with, but the world is big so it still takes awhile. Last I checked I was just getting in to end game stuff, had 72 hours on my save and characters were about level 86, and this is with only minimal grinding.

Very highly recommended game even if you didn't like any previous FFs much. I especially tell people that hated 13 to try this one.

I've got 57 hours in, and I'm level 59. I've just been going to outposts and doing every hunter quest there before I go to the next. The exp is starting to not level me as fast- even with exp boosting spells and sleeping in the 2x inn, so it may be time to move on.

And yeah, Shadow, there's a car- but they made the game maybe too realistic. The fastest the car goes (idk if I have all the upgrades) is 60 mph. The part of the world I'm in now is about 10 miles from end to end, so travel times end up being 6-7 minutes unless I fast travel. Fast traveling causes loading screens of 2-3 minutes at least. It's frustrating, but walking is slow as shit, and chocobos are somewhere in between. Loading screens kill this game for me. It takes forever to do quests because you have to travel to the quest area, fight, travel back and turn in the quest- get a new quest, repeat. I started sleeping in the town I'm doing quests in and leaving the car where the quests tend to be just so I can fast travel more efficiently.

Thanks. Did this today. I found about 300 of the songs I previously purchased while scrolling thru the marketplace on Saturday but gave up after it auto scrolled to the top of the list on me twice. :mad:

When I went into manage game today, I still had over 300 other songs to install. I like how they added most of the tracks from the previous games but there were a few that I found on the marketplace that said they were "currently unavailable" and I don't think they have ANY of the RB Network tracks. I'm still holding out hope that they'll get around to making the Beatles game backward compatible but it'll prolly never happen. Bout to pop it in a bit and see how rusty I am.

Yeah, no RB Network tracks unfortunately. I think it's licensing issues or something, no word if or when they are coming later.

Man, I was REALLY rusty, and I don't like the RB4 guitar much. I miss my old GH2 Xplorer -- I went from playing Dragonforce on Expert back in the day to struggling on some metal songs on Hard now. Luckily you can turn on custom solos and fake your way through really tough sections.

I was initially going to just get the game and the legacy adapter cause I still have both of my Beatles RB guitars. Then I saw that bundle on sale. I think I'll like the jaguar controller since I was always better at RB than GH. Pretty much the reverse your situation. I could play RB on expert but would struggle with GH on hard.

So the Nintendo Switch console looks pretty interesting. Fully portable, and the two halves of the controller can be used independently as 2 separate "joy-cons."

Mario Odyssey looks pretty great but won't be out until the holidays, and as I'm not a big Zelda fan, there are no "killer apps" yet to make me want a Switch of my own. It is cool that it will get Skyrim Remaster, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is good for RPG fans.

They also showed brief footage of a Switch version of Mario Kart 8 which is fine but I hope they have a fresh new Kart 9 in the works. And why have they still not made a proper Metroid console game??

There's also Splatoon 2, which is cool. Definitely best new IP of the Wii U. Did they announces price? It's $300 right? And did they discuss battery life? I didn't watch the thing. The artificial demand they're already creating is outrageous. I'll hold my horses on this one for sure for $300
