I just watched the new trailer and good god. No words can describe how I feel at this moment, but I'll try some. Remember after the first time you played a video game? No, that doesn't work. How about the time that you got your first car? Not even close. First love? Ha-I think not. How about the time you got completely hammered the night before a big test, when to class, found out it was Saturday, turned around and on the way back home found a hundred dollar bill lying on the ground, then found your nice bed waiting for you, crawled in, found a fine-ass girl that had been there all night and spent the next few hours annihilating her?...man that way a great night...but no, not even that can compare to how awesomely awesome that trailer was...and how Skyrim will be.

I cant wait for this game but i have heard nothing but rumors that it will be pushed back to the end of november or early december because Bethesda doesnt want to compete with MW3. Obviously we know that skyrim will rape, pillage, rape again and then destroy mw3 but sadly we dont have control on when its going to be released. If we did we would all be playing this second lol
The one Good thing about it possibly being released late november or early december is that there would be no other big name games for other ppl to play meaning we could just play it all december into the new year

I dont think Bethesda needs to worry about any competition. This game is on its own level haha. I don't think it'll be pushed back.

I hope your right,i really do but from a business stand point its not totally impossible. Think about it,if a parent has to buy a game for their kid/kids and they go to a gamestop and ask someone working there what to buy they would probably say mw3 over skyrim. Not everyone is going to get both games,i know i am but i spend money on games like the yankees spend money over paying muscle heads that can hit a ball with a stick lol

True, but you maybe underestimating the impact Oblivion had on consoles, it was a MASSIVE seller. Elder Scrolls is becoming more popular and since its a far different style of game compared to MW3, I think it can share the same release month.

Im not underestimating how big oblivion is,i took a day off school to buy the game, another day off when shivering isles came out and obviously its different then mw3 but my statement remains true,a parent would go with a huge brand name like a cod game over skyrim and lets be honest 10 year olds need someone to scream to and they cant do that on skyrim lol

#1- the 2 games don't have the same fan base. Seriously. We're absolutely not going to spend $ on both games-- but we're going to buy 2 copies of Skyrim. Shooters and RPGs don't compete for the same people very often.
#2- Do a lot of parents wander into Gamestop off the street and ask for recommendations about what to buy their children?
#3- Will said Gamestop employees really just recommend a game blindly without asking what kind of games the kid is into? Or recommend 2 M games to a parent shopping for their kids?
You know what, there's just so much wrong with that scenario that I just can't keep going.
The bottom line is no- parents won't go with COD over Skyrim. And 10 year olds weren't MW3 or Oblivion's target audience to begin with.
In a crazy month of releases, I'd say Skyrim is the least likely to be delayed, since they have the 11/11/11 date as a big thing, and there aren't any other RPGs scheduled out anytime near them.
And let's not forget- out of all the games scheduled to come out Q4 2011, Skyrim will have been in production the longest. I doubt they feel threatened by YET ANOTHER "OMG we need to get one of these out every year regardless of the declining quality or the fact that one of the studios who makes them is pretty incompetent" COD game.
1. Im getting both games and i know alot of ppl who are doing the same
2. I didnt say parents wander off the street but seeing as there is this thing in december called christmas they do go to gamestops to buy games as presents for their kids and seeing as alot of kids ask their parents for games it will happen
3. seeing as they are employed by a organization that orders alot of the new cod they will push it along with skyrim and the parent will most likely go with skyrim.you ask a non gaming parent what skyrim is and they have no idea, you ask the same parent what call of duty is and they know,so they will buy the most recent installment and no these games are not marketed to kids but its mostly kids who play them.
They are obviously not afraid of mw3 and perhaps they wont push back the game but its not impossible and thats all i said after me saying that i have heard nothing but rumors of the game being pushed back
