If those people who hated 4 were hardcore Elder Scrolls fans, I can understand why they didnt like it. Theres a lot of hand holding in it and the emphasis on explorarion and mystery wasn't there, or atleast not as much as previous Elder Scrolls. But they lacked they made up for with visuals, it was one of the most beautiful games at the time. They greatly improved the combat system, which felt organic and not luck of the draw, and the missions were some of the most original and creative theyve ever done, especially the Thieves Guild.
I dont ever know where I'm going with this, I feel like I'm writing a review haha.
