This was way better than expected; it delivers on multiple levels with jokes and pop references but at the same time it's all being done by LEGO blocks! I can't imagine what witchcraft sorcery animated them but I am glad it wasn't just another CG CareBear movie

meh, had some cool action parts to it but nothing special. Also if you're a Christian like Meta, don't expect an accurate story from the bible. This is more for entertainment.

It was a combination of mostly cg with a bit of stop motion.

Fuck yeah. I told everyone it would be great. Now if only they would get a green light on the Deadpool movie.

Orthodox Christians will take issue with this, as it not only borrows from the apocryphal Book of Enoch and Book of Jubilees with some of its content, but also makes up a lot of new stuff. Still, I found it entertaining. Emma Watson was good enough that I forgot she was Hermione for a few seconds, and Jennifer Connolly is always easy on the eyes even when she has clothes on.
Son of God - 2/5 NNR
This was like a tamer Passion of the Christ; it also went in to a little more of Jesus' adult life and not just his death, but it was missing a lot of the stuff I purposely watched it to see, ie the J-man's dealings with demon possession and arguing scriptures with the Pharisees and the Sadducees. I don't know who the demographic for this movie is because it's still way too violent for most Christians and I can't see anyone else really caring. The one thing I think this movie did well that most Jesus movies don't is showing the gathering of the disciples and how they interact with each other and Jesus, specifically Thomas and Mary Magdalene who get ignored more often than not. It also made a point to include Joseph of Arimathea which I give it bonus kudos for.
The barrens,2.5/5, good lost in the woods flick, kinda felt jipped after the semi reveal towards the end but solid lead performance carries it to the end,not a bad way to waste an 90 minutes.
