Ok,
I will make it short and sweet. I Have been a contract Firefighter here in Iraq for 3 years now. My outlook on the whole war is a mixed one. One, we can't pull out now because if we do it will be a civil war over here. Two, People always say, Why did we go over there? Answer: Hunt down Osama and stop all of the terrorists that are against the united states. Three, Have we been here too long? Yes, i think we have. But it needs to be done. We are the 911 of the world. People may not like that but we are. As for our next leader??? I don't know. I know one thing they are gonna have there hands full with this war. And for the people who wonder how it is over here? We still get hit every once in awhile and our great troops are still getting hit byIED's. I spend alot of time at night playing video games with troops at my site. I always do it just to keep there mind off the crazy stuff that happens over here. And i always tell them to check out this website too. Gotta reprezent!!!

Question Raine? Have you Served? I am just wondering...Sure I may make loads of money but i am over here for reasons other than money. I served in the Marine corp. I was a 0331. I know what it is like to live in hell. I have been over here while others can just 'talk the talk'. As for us looking for Bin Laden...I don't think we will find him anytime soon. Does it mean we should say the hell with it and pull out? We will just be those'Stupid americans' The french talked about. We need to follow through with our hunt for terrorists in Iraq. And this is not a Civil war yet. It will turn into one if we pull out. My thought is if you don't like America or agree with what we do..Then leave it! This is the greatest Country in the world!(Thats like a movie quote..LOL) And
PSORaine Don't take none of this personely this is just a topic. I am not a hater. I just like good discussions. OK?

I have to agree to that part that we are the 911 for the world. I have A LOT of friends that work for Blackwater and a few that have lost there lives to this war and most of my other friends are over seas as we speak and I hold you guys in high regards. It is horrible when you lose a loved one to something like this, but I think it's honorable what you guys do and not everyone see's it that way, nor can everyone do it. America is the country that fights for freedom, even if it isn't our freedom we are fighting for. It's just the way America, The Land Of The Free works.
I do agree with ZuDaddy as well stating that if we pull out now it will become a civil war and this whole thing would have been for nothing.
If you dont like America, Leave...or Stay Out.
Randem, it is good what you are doing over there, gaming to help the other guys take there mind off the hell that goes on over there. Send me a F.R. sometime. Good luck with it all. and I'll pray for ya.

When I was talking about it being noble I was speaking in terms of the military as well as PMC, anyone over there do the job that not everyone over here can or wants to do. I do agree with Raine though when she says the army and the marines should be getting just as much pay as the higher paying guys doing the same job do.

I personaly think we should of never elected Bush. Just think, if we had eleted Al Gore, the whole world would be running on vegtable oil or something like that.
I thought that after we took out Sudam, we should of packed our bags. Who cares where Osama Bin Hidden-For-A-Long-Long-Time is? He's probably rotting in a cave.
I know this may seem a little harsh, but if it gets any worse, I would consider dusting off Fat Man and Little Boy for round two. Hopefully we'll never have to come to that, but it definatly could be an option.
Bush is just trying to buy time now. He's waiting for the next President to clean it all up. Then he can go back to his ranch and finish reading Superfudge (Family Guy joke).

Ok just like to point out I hear what Random Hero is saying that we can't just pull out right now and leave the countries we put our hands into just like that. He is right in the fact that if we did it would leave a political vacuum that would destroy the Iraq in a civil war. I do believe this is the greatest country in the world (America). the reason that it is is because you don't have to agree with everything that the leaders of our nation do. We have freedom of choice to love the way the country is run or loath it and vote the people we want into office. That's what make this place great
However, I don't think this particular war isn't stopping Terrorism. Iraq was not and still isn't the only country that has political and culture differences, issues, or hates the U.S.
Their are many other people that have problems with us even some that are home grown. Remember the Columbine shooting, Virgin tech shooting, the Oklahoma bombings. these all different kinds of terrorism. I don't think you should judge someone opinion just because they didn't serve. If we go by that then I would trump everyone because I am a World Trade Center survivor. I seen all my co-workers, friends, people I saw everyday died all around me. It took me years the fee normal again, but this doesn't give a better idea to stop terrorism. I just hope we figure something out soon
