So many people bash the president and do not totally understand how our government works. They totally forget that congress had to approve any use of force in Iraq or Afghanistan. They forget that congress must pass the budgets. They also forget about the greedy banks that lent people money, allowed them to borrow WAY TOO MUCH, only made them pay interest, and hoped the rates would go down.

I seriously feel we would be worse off if Gore had been elected President. Clinton was the second luckiest president we have ever had. He followed Reagan and rode the Reagan economic wave.

People blame the President for just about everything. They use the term Neocom and pretend they know what they are talking about. All they can do is point fingers and say how rotten of a job he has done. How he has spent too much money to fight terror around the world and not done enough at home. Sure he has made mistakes, but he is only as good as the advice he is given.

To me I am not happy with the way America is going, but to be honest we are doing it to ourselves. Corporate America is driving out the good paying jobs. Americans are wanting too much with too little supporting them. We are becoming a country lazy people who expect a quick turn on everything. Is that the Presidents fault as well?

And don't forget Clinton also was in office during the dot com boom. That is why the economy was doing so well with him. He didn't do anything.

Actually Clinton could have prevented this entire mess, back when he was president his intelligence told him that they had found bin laden or saddam *yea im sorry i was told this 3 years ago and im not thinking so clearly at the moment* and the country that he was in was giving clinton permission to go to that place and remove him, but he chose not too.

Clinton did launch an attack against bin Laden. The camp he was at was totally wiped out. However we told Pakistan about the curise missiles and about 15 minutes before they arrived bin Laden left. That was in the 9/11 Report.

The economy during the Clinton era was directly related to Reagan. Clinton then did what every good Democrat does, he spent it, cut defense, and weakened our country. Our Navy dropped from over 500 ships down to just over 300. We have since dipped below 300, but are once again building up. Clinton revamped the Army and pulled major forces out of Europe and Asia, weaking our stance in those areas.

We knew at that time France and Germany were selling things to Iraq they should not be selling. We knew Sadam was selling oil and building his military. We knew bin Laden was targeting the US. We chose to weaken ourselves and opened the door to exactly what happened. Our military got a BIG bloody nose in Somalia, becasue Clinton's advisors sent in too weak of force and did not allow the Ground commanders to use all the force they needed.

Too many people in this thread probably did not even vote last election. All they are doing is knee jerking and running their mouths.

and i hope that when u say that most people are running their mouths and didnt vote i hope u don't also mean me, since i am only 16 and cant vote.

I read a good deal. Books, newspapers, online news, everything. I also watch the news a good deal and I also listen to each Sunday morning news program.

Politics is a dangerous subject and can lead to all sorts of other issues.

Some of the responses in this thread show the lack of maturity in people. I can only imagine that those people got their political knowledge from thier parents.

What are we doing in Iraq? To be honest we went in under a flase flag. Sadam confessed to the FBI he allowed the US to think he had WMD. He wanted the world to think he had much more than he did. He pretnded to have weapons he never did. So thought we were going to help prevent these weapons from being given to bin Laden. That was wrong.

Now that things are getting ebtter there we will slowly pull out and the country will go about its own way.
