He is literally the worst kind of person. I damn near removed him from my friends list when I heard him say "xbox record that" on the fucking scoreboard screen. That had to be the most douche thing I've heard in 8 years of xbox live...
OMG HAHAHAHAHA!!!

I can relate to both sides of the argument on the amount of guns, but if I had to choose, I would prefer a huge variety with a lot of similar-feeling guns rather than just a few but all of them are unique. I don't necessarily fault a game based on which way they go, as long as they cover the essentials--something good for CQC, something mid-range, a dedicated sniper, and at least one weapon that has an absurdly high full auto fire rate, even if the damage per bullet is pathetic.
Considering the pedigree of the dev team, I am surprised that Titanfall goes for the min-max in every aspect, but I also got the feeling that they were under a lot of pressure from MS to get the game shipped which is why more features are being and will be patched in. The same thing happened with Killer Instinct.
Also, unrelatedly, I played the 360 version on release day and it was funny to me how, in general, the 360 players are much better at the pilot/on-foot part of the game. They clearly didn't yet know things like crouching your titan before debarking or to jump away from a rodeo if the opponent pops smoke, but when I'd watch replays they were great at leading targets for mid-to-long range headshots and such.
Clearly, the majority of the early XB1 players were bk's and unskilled fatasses like me

To be clear I don't think Titanfall is a Bad experience or not fun to play with the right people. It just lacks some things that would have made it more enjoyable for me. I have high hopes for the next one. Now that they have a base to work with maybe some of the things people think Titanfall is lacking can make it into the next game. Hopefully it will get the proper development time and not rushed out for next year.

I don't know what any of these things are. And I don't wanna play with you now. :/

quick tips for ya Kat:
- if you crouch before holding X, you will disembark from your titan MUCH faster
- best way to get a rodeoing opponent off a friendly titan is to punch them
- if you start to take damage from more than 2 angles while rodeoing, it means your victim has popped electric smoke so get clear immediately
- often you can just crouch in your titan and stop moving for a second to fake-out a rodeoing opponent--they will hop off and start looking for your pilot to shoot and you can just step on them or punch them
- when you're a pilot/on foot, don't fight an enemy titan unless it is very far away or already fighting a rival titan (the exception to this is using the mag launcher from high elevation hiding spots)
- the amped Kraber sniper rifle does great damage to enemy titans
- wait to use your titan's ordnance when it is reloading its main weapon
1) equip warpfall transmitter as tier 2 kit
2) rodeo enemy titan
3) when enemy titan stops moving and crouches to debark the pilot, look straight down and call in your titan
4) ???
5) profit
last but most important tip: whichever gun you like, UNLOCK AND EQUIP A SUPPRESSOR FOR IT. this will keep you off the minimap for most people, making your lifespan longer and preventing many ambushes

Hmm I haven't tried out the suppressors for any gun yet honestly. I think I may mess around with them later tonight if anyone wants to play.

The suppressors are pretty damn great on most weapons because they only reduce the damage by 1 shot. The DMR still just requires 2 taps, and the shotgun can still 1-shot-kill but the range is reduced slightly.
It's mainly good for the near-medium and medium-ranged weapons like the carbine, Hemlock, the semi-auto rifle (G2 i think?) rifle and the R97 SMG. If you're doing smart pistol challenges, it's also good there.
The CAR SMG is more negatively affected by a suppressor because it has a much slower firing rate than the R97, and I don't know how it affects the Kraber because I hate that POS and have never used it enough to unlock a suppressor lolz.
I guess really it's not as much of an issue on XB1, but in the 360 version of Titanfall most people are playing with headphones so the actual sound suppression helps out in tight map areas.

I didn't know it only reduced it by 1 bullet interesting. I rack up a good amount of kills with the carbine each game, maybe I'll try it out with the suppressor to see any noticeable differences and share them with you.

How do you unlock suppressors?
