- it now shows which campaign missions you won, and for which side
- you can view your last game's scoreboard in the lobby
- more detailed icons showing state at end of game (ie dead, pilot, in titan, out of titan)

DLC is $10. The game is definitely worth playing, the DLC I would say wait, for now just play the main game and see how you like it. If you still love it after 10-20 hours, then grab the season pass.
A lot of people love it, but a lot of people also get over the fun & novelty somewhere between 10 and 20 hours, it seems.
