Quote by Mo the Surfer:
uh sorry your kid doesn't want to hear about any other women in your life? No one wants to see their parents get a divorce and then talk to other people because you are their parents.
Sorry he doesn't sympathize his parents splitting up?

Yeah why go into that? Why not just say you're talking to an old friend? I have tons of guy friends on Facebook and I don't tell my kids how we are connected. All you do by talking about sexual conquests to your kids is sound like you're trying to convince yourself that women once found you attractive. And maybe you're hoping it gets back to his mom that you're talking to women.
It sounds like the whole situation has been screwed up for a long time, and you're not aware or concerned how it might be affecting your kids.

For the record - I am very concerned about the situation and how it affects my kids. It's my ex that doesn't seem to bothered by any of it.

What was the purchase for her?
And yes RE: Mo. As a child I remember being weirded out by my Mom or Dad talking about, or with, prior relationships from their past. It's less about them splitting up, for me, and more the stark realization of the odds they did hook up, that led to me-- and how random that chance was-- hence, the concept of me never being born, far outweighs the chance of me ever coming into existence. It's better to think your Mother and Father lived in a romantic bubble their whole life, and were pre-destined to make you. Shattering that is similar to Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny not being real

I always knew my mom was engaged before she met my dad, but that always made it more romantic for me. She worked with his sister, they grew up in the same area, and they never met. Then one day her sister and his friend meet and decide to set them up, and 3 months later they're married. Of course, neither of my parents had sex before marriage, maybe that's why there wasn't a weirdness factor involved for me.
But I do believe in destiny and that there is one person meant for everyone. So I never considered "what if they hadn't met?" Although my brothers used to give my mom crap for marrying my dad ("you could have married someone better so we'd be better!") but I'm pretty sure it was joking...
