Yeah, without re-quoting Meta, I agree 100%. I was only saying (about MvC) that his Mom seeing the "partial NUDITY" on the box, just the word NUDITY might make her not allow him to play it. I remember buying a Ranma 1/2 anime as a TEENAGER, and my Mom threw out the VHS because it said "a sex-comedy adventure" on the box. I told her they meant GENDER not SEX. (for anyone unfamiliar, Ranma changes from Male to Female when he gets wet).
I'm not a parent (like Evol said "end of discussion" earlier), but I'm very keen to making this kid happy, & being mindful of his Mother, as a parent. He was going through a lot of anger / depression issues pre-kindergarten (he lives on the border between Texas / Mexico). I bought him a 3DS with Mario, Street Fighter, etc, and the Mother said "that's the best gift he's ever gotten" and I think he used his aggression out on the video game, & mellowed out in real life. Now he's constantly smiling, doing amazing in sports, & made the honor role in 1st grade.
I wanted to open his horizons more this Christmas from handheld 3DS, into the "console world", while still being mindful of the fact that he's in 1st grade. I got a Nintendo NES in 1st grade, & it changed my world forever. So I won't get him Skyrim-- just focus on the Marvel games I already know he'll like, since he's a big Marvel fan. Sports games. Racing games. Getting them 2 controllers so his Dad can play co-op. He serves our country putting in long hours, so it's for him too. Video games helps me out a lot with stress, & I'm happy to share that. I appreciate your insight so I don't make a mistake- no Skyrim. I get it.
