Parise is from Minnesota. But Im sure he and Suter played off each other to do this. ESPN also said that if he didnt talk to his Wife, he would have stayed in NJ. Doesn't bother me though. They are both locked up for like 12 years at 90 mil. This will probably be great for a while but they will be so top heavy that it will hurt them later.
I just hope the Wings do something good with whats left. Semin, maybe? Idk. I was disappointed when they didnt land Parise or Suter (More Suter because I just really thought they would get him ). But there are rumors of them working a "huge trade"... so I'll see soon.
Yeah I'm not surprised Parise went to Minnesota. Nothing wrong with wanting to play for you hometown team. Also I'm so happy the Suter did not sign with the Red Wings! He's one of my favorite hockey players. He's from Wisconsin, played for the Badgers and the Milwaukee Admirals I'd would've hated him if he went the Red Wings. So I'm all good he's with the Wild.
Why do people hate the Wings?
On shitball ESPN.com, Suter said the Red Wings were "it" right up till the end.
I was really hoping the Wings would get one of them.... and I was FOR SURE they would. But those asshats dropped the ball. Now I just gotta sit back and hope they make this "huge trade" they are hinting at. Either trade or get Semin because Datsyuk and Semin played great together in the IIHF

i wouldnt say they dropped the ball, they are a team with a great history of bringing multiple talents together for a cheaper price and thats how they will always be.if players dont want to win championships let them go elsewhere and collect the bigger pay checks but if they want to play to win a championship its them

Yeah like you said earlier, its about the cash and not the Cup for some. Parise and Suter are friends so they obviously planned this, and wherever they were going, it was going to be together, fucking homos.
Now that I think about it, I wouldnt have wanted the Wings to have those two locked up for 13 years. Shit like that back fires IMO
more hot dogs than the Pittsburgh Pirates have wins.
Chestnut dogs eaten: 377
