The only problem with doing this is if someone files a complaint you can be banned from XBL for playing something not linked to your account (i.e. arcade games and DLC).
One of my neighbors got screwed over for this. He played a game I bought, so he didn't own the rights.
Negative. You have the rights to the original xbox that it was downloaded to. So if he played it on your xbox, maybe. Even then, playing one game that isn't yours doesn't get you banned
Was it a delisted game perhaps?

No, it was Trials Evo and Trials HD I brought to his house on a thumb drive. Plus DLCs.

Honestly that shouldn't have happened. Yes, they do try to prevent people from doing that, but unless you've had several different people play your copy of the game it should have been fine. Before they had the family plan, my son had no issues with playing my arcade games downloaded.
There were a lot of people who got banned who were passing around gamertags that had purchased arcade games and numerous people had played them. I heard of a few people who had played just a couple delisted games and got banned....but again that was word of mouth.
Seems strange he got banned just over that, unless of course he had done it with a lot of other games as well...

I'm not sure. But when he called they actually said it was because of those 2 games. I got a suspension from xbl too.

Oh wow. Maybe he just got unlucky then. All I know is they tell you that anyone can play on the original console it was downloaded on, that was my concern with my family playing my games (pre-family account).

Like I said, I brought them to his house on a thumb drive.

This is retarded and shitty. DRM and EULAs should not be so convoluted that this sort of thing even has to be considered.

I'm calling bullshit. No one at Microsoft ever knows anything when you call them. They're absolutely useless.

Does anyone else get randomly kicked off of Xbox Live for no apparent reason? I have been trying to download these patches for Defiance but it keeps fucking kicking me off of Xbox Live and restarting the damn downloads all over again.
My internet speed is sufficient enough to run this game, I have 50mps. I use the router that I recieved from Comcast, I don't know if that is the issue or not. I have restored the settings to factory defaults. I'm starting to get very pissed.

Could it be issues with the game itself?

Are you using Wi-Fi? I'd hard line if you are just to be sure, and be sure to clear your cache.
After that, I would try to re-download an old arcade game that you haven't played on your console to see if it downloads without a hitch. If it does, the issue is likely serverside.

I hard lined it as soon as I got Internet hooked up just because it was right beside the router and figured why not...but it still does it. I'll try clearing the cache but idk, it pisses me off.
It does the same thing when I play far cry 3 but I just continue playing. But you HAVE to be logged online to play this game.

I figured you had hard lined it, but I answer tech troubleshooting questions for a lot of people who haven't even tried the most basic things first. No offense, man!
What are some devices that are running off of your router via Wi-Fi? We have country vision where I live so I am used to unplugging everything and shutting off the Wi-Fi on our phones when I start having connectivity problems.
Your router could be causing problems if it's an older one, even with your console hardlined. Other than that, I can't really do much else for you. Hopefully you get it all squared away!

No offense taken brother! I appreciate your help. The only other thing pulling off of my wifi is the Internet on the computer. But even if I am not on the computer it still boots me off
