I gave up on using Gamestop for pre-orders due to issues with promotional pre-order items. I use amazon for everything. The only problem is that if you pre-order a game a great deal of time in advance, get used to waiting to recieve it. The last two games that I preordered were not even shipped until nearly two weeks after their release date. I had to email customer service about it on both occassions (they looked into it and sent it right out). Still, I shouldn't have to hassle them to send it. I always wondered if it had something to do with having it preordered so very long in advance.

That's what I was worried about. I wanted to do my preorders through them and just have it delivered to my door. But I didn't want to wait till after the release of the game. I was hoping that it would be on my door step on the day of release.

I pre-ordered Little Big Planet: Karting a couple months ago from Amazon. It was released today. Amazon shipped it today and I'll probably get it in a couple of days. But I caved and bought a copy at Gamestop because I couldn't wait.
The up-side of pre-ordering with Amazon, is if you can bear the wait, you often get savings because you'll always get the lowest price (My LBP Karting was $5 cheaper). My best deal was when I preordered Alice: Madness Returns and Silent Hill: Downpour many months in advance (cover art wasn't even available). When they finally did ship, I had saved 10$ on one and $15 on the other.
