Lofl Mo great post, that was my reaction too haha. Diablo 3 was great in a lot of ways, and producing a true 4th game would be Blizzard printing their own free money. Only having a questionable mobile iteration to show after so many years is hilariously shitty and they deserve all the heckling they got and more. People can play D3lite on their phones all they want but if Blizz devs continue to act like nothing is wrong with their handling of the franchise they are going to lose as much money as they make with it. π

It was the look on their faces that I ROFLMAO'd. You can just see it, "uh-oh.... We dun fooked up!"
"Do you have any plans to bring this game to the PC?" LOL!!

And it's BLIZZCON of all places! That audience is a custom crafted hand delivered demographic that would be willing to purchase a used condom in a box if it was polished and said 'Blizzard' on the outside.
Their Activision Overlords must be grabbing them by the short & curlies π
I love how the dude kept pausing for the applause & cheers that weren't there π

If you watch the audience, there are a lot of people getting up and walking out... Walking out!! On BLIZCON!! How bad is that????

I don't understand. I thought AC Origins was supposed to be some great game that revived the AC franchise. So far, its clunky as hell, looks pretty shitty, and has virtually none of the components of the previous games that I loved them for (as in actual climbing mechanics, real stealth concerns, and an array of diverse tactics for taking on enemies). The change to an RPG style is fine, I'll survive without the standard DNA formula, though honestly, I prefer it and its optional bonus objectives. Nonlinear is cool, I appreciate the freedom to explore wherever I want, but all of the cities are literally the same and nothing feels worthwhile about adventuring beyond Giza. I just take a new mission, run around in circles, dodge and slash my way through a crowd of enemies, and then jump on my horse and do it again somewhere else. Its pretty much more repetitive than even AC 1 ever was if you ask me.

Exactly! Just wait until you unexpectedly attack an enemy or animal that has a red skull above their head and die in 2 hits. It's not a bad game, I just dont really care for it.

Hah yup been there, done that. Its not a bad game, like you said. Just far from what a year of hype made me assume it was. I started it the other week and was like, am I playing the right game? Did they give me the wrong disk?

I'm nearly level 30 and there is still an area in the STARTING REGION with guards I can't kill protecting a treasure. I'd like to know who's brilliant idea that was....

Personally, I enjoyed Origins a lot. I thought the visuals were good, and despite initial doubt I ended up liking the story and Bayek & co.
That being said, it definitely has flaws, and a lot of people have similar complaints. I too thought the combat was weird and clunky at first, but ended up liking it as well.
I was annoyed by how much level differences affected difficulty. The dev claims of nonlinearity and freedom to explore aren't really true because if you wander too much you get 1 shotted by OP guards or animals.
You can really only explore freely once you are high-levelled and have legendary gear.
While I overall enjoyed Origins a lot, I feel like it is only an AC game in the loosest sense, and I don't feel like you legitimately "revive" a series by making a reboot or otherwise completely overhauling 90% of its systems.

I do like Bayek and the story is definitely gripping. And i've always been one who likes the modern stuff so i'm interested in how it all will play out on that end. I don't HATE the combat, I just think for a series that was criticized for such dull combat its still pretty dull. And I guess I just know better than to venture off too far into the desert hahha never truly ran into that problem

I walked into the living room this evening and the boys are playing Goat Simulator. We haven't touched that game in well over 2 years

I started playing the Rare Replay again and wow some of these games were so ridiculously hard. how did video games stick around with such steep difficulties and countless game overs?

It's probably because of the difficulty that Rare's games weren't as popular as other arcade behemoths like Namco and Sega.
I've been to many different arcades throughout my life and haven't seen any of these except Jetpac and of course the Killer Instinct games.
