The dlc isn't all that great. I mean, its ok since it adds a little more re-playability to an amazing game. Not sure why they added Jimmy though Knuck. It just seems like he use to be a mafia hitman or something of that nature.

Some of the achievements are a little out there. For example, the one that requires you drive 1000 miles in Jimmy's Vendetta.

Yea that 1k mile achievement seems a tad ridiculous, I was on like chapter 9 or 10 in the single player and hadn't even got the drive 50 in one car achieve yet, doubt I'll bother trying to grind that out if I pick this up.

I've heard from a lot of people that the stuff in the $DLC was content cut from the original game, proof being that the new character has the exact same prison outfit as Vito (including the same number on his uniform) and such.

See also: side mission stuff "cut from original game"
and an image of "Jimmy's" head where you can see the line where the head and neck were grafted on to Vito's model.

I'm sure there will be one. Personally if they had a DLC on the ending this soon, I don't think it would have made too much sense. The game just came out and that would just be wrong to pay for an addition to the main story.

This DLC I don't mind since it has nothing to so with the main story. Should be interesting. Already downloaded....just waiting for a day off.

I just wish they had it in your stats how many miles you've driven in each car. I LoL'd at the "Time spent with Playboy articles" stat. Also, what car did you guys get the 125 MPH cheevo with. I have the one convertible with a top speed of 127 after fully upgrading it and I still can't get it up to 125 before running into something and killing myself. None of my other cars even top 112 MPH. I'm pissed cause I haven't seen one of those hot rods since the chapter where you kill the greasers and take one to the docks.

after getting in Leos car in chapter 11 after sneaking him out, go upgrade the crap out of it (with dlc you can now supercharge it) and go over that long bridge that starts on the eastside of the map, that gets you near the center of it. you can hit 125mph with no issues.

Yeah I used the same car Junior did, I didn't have the DLC but just getting it to the second tuning (sports) was enough, I got to 125 going across the bridge and slammed on the brakes and e-brake right after the Achievement popped.

"Joes Adventures" DLC Announced

Joe's Adventures takes place during the middle segment in Mafia II while Vito's in prison. During this time, you'll be playing as Joe while he strives to learn the truth behind Vito's detainment and the goings on and machinations of the rival Clemente family.

I can't wait see what Joe was up to while Vito was in the clink. I was really hoping they would give us some dlc centered on what happens to Joe after the main story but it looks as though they plan to leave us hanging until future dlc or a sequel.

So I finally got around to collecting all the Playboys. Finished em off last night and made a huge dent in collecting the wanted posters. I'm up to like 67 of em now. I wasn't impressed with the Jimmy dlc at all. It lacked any real narrative. Drive here and read about why you're going to kill a bunch of assholes then go kill said assholes. I hope Joe's Adventures are a helluva lot better.

I also think the 1,000 mile achievement is total bullshit. :mad:

I still don't know how I haven't driven 50 miles in the same car. I'm using the car that you jack in Chapter 2 or 3. I drove only it during my first run-thru until after I got back from prison when I switched back and forth between convertibles but while going through the story again to get the Playboys I only used it and still don't have that cheevo. :baffled:

For anyone interested Joes Adventure DLC came out today. I was a pretty big download (1.2G) so hopefully will have alot of content.
