I played the demo, and managed to do just about everything. Finding the 5 Playboys Mags, Drove all the cars, Tuned them all and repainted them, and enjoyed the soundtrack thoroughly!
I have high hopes for this game, and the demo is just a tease in my opinion! Limited Edition, Please Hurry Home! lol

Agh, was waiting for someone to post thoughts on it, haven't got to try it yet but downloaded it before I went to sleep earlier. Really lookin forward to playin it in the morning now and playin the full game. I kept seeing mixed things from people on TA so I was starting to get worried. Does it play like Godfather 2 or what?

the time limit is kind of goofy. if time runs out, everything you found before, still stays found, and you dont need to find it again. just the time resets, and your money. so the timer is kind of bunk.
I think it plays a TON better than Godfather. The cars handle pretty decent. however, I think 2k left the demo, kind of in a spot, to show people it is great, but the retail will be tons better.

^^ O yea? Finally got around to playing this demo the other morning and my final impressions were mixed. I still really wanna play the full version but at the same time the demo didn't really impress me in any way. The car handling was iffy as well as the controls and movement. The gunplay was pretty good though and headshots were a nice one shot kill like they should be. I also enjoyed the destructible environments and the nice collectibles scattered about(Playboys were a nice touch). Still kinda felt generic though and Godfather 2 actually felt a little better IMO. Guess I'll just have to wait another 11ish days to see how the final product plays.

Shit, Godfather 2 was a blast and it controlled better than the Mafia 2 demo as well I think. I don't know, I'm still really lookin forward to Mafia 2 but just didn't like what I played in the demo, I was like meh that was boring.

see another thing is, no one appreciates the music in this game. i think it has the perfect audio from orchestra, to sinatra to good ol doo wop and rockabilly then throw in some delta blues :)
