I'm definitely getting it. It's a lot different then previous LOTR games and finally lets you explore Mordor before it's a wasteland. The darker side of LOTR is much more interesting then the same generic "Fellowship" angle they keep feeding us (War in the North, The Third Age etc)

Definite agree. I am not in a huge rush to play it since I'm still carving in to Diablo and such, but I will definitely grab it at some point. I like middle-earth stuff and this one seems like it will be unique and engaging, and like Haze said the darker elements are much more interesting.
I hope it does well so it shows developers people still like the hobbitses and the Preciousss.

I'm a big fan of LotR, loved the books, movies and the games they put out for the xbox over a decade ago, I'm seriously contemplating getting this game, seen the gameplay trailers and really like this nemesis system that they use, and the wraith powers look awesome as hell, but my backlog is so big as it is...it may not get played for months after I get it :/

For a bit more backstory on the plot apparently the Wraith is the forger of the "Good" elven rings from LOTR such as the one Gandalf has (Yes Gandalf has a ring of power). This kind of makes him the closest thing Sauron has to a real rival considering they used to be friends back in the day. It will be interesting to see Sauron interact on a personal level if the two actually meet up in this game (Which seems likely).
It's insane how death in this game is a plot device. Enemies remember you when you respawn (After death) and they will be older and likely promoted for killing you. They will retain scars and wounds and maybe even develop new fears and weaknesses based on you're previous interections with them. Death is only the beginning! This game is totally not a LOTR "The Crow" remake

Christ i am stoked for this game. Never before have i heard of anything remotely close to the Nemesis system, where not defeating a character (or only wounding them in battle) leads them to remembering you and coming back stronger than ever.

I'm trying not to get too excited about this because there have been games that claimed before release that they would have similar features, and then not delivered. Just like every game that has claimed that "player choices shape the world and change the experience" that hasn't delivered.
It's worth pointing out that the Xbox 360 version of this game won't be exactly the same as the xb1 version. The core gameplay will be the same but most of the nemesis system and deeper mechanics will be stripped out.
