you can press B to skip it all,i read alot faster then most games characters can speak so the second im done i just pressed b and moved onto the next.
Yeah I hear you guys, I am the exact same way. The only exception I made was for the dark elf chick Alyn Shir in KoA Reckoning because her voice was hot.

story gets a little..dark for a lack of better words around the 10th chapter.did not see it coming at all.

I always listen to the dialogue the first time around while playing RPGs but any time I need to repeat a chapter or quest, I skip through it.

agreed, i have only beat the first chapter so far and I like it. it's not great but not awful.

Yeah, I'm up to Chapter 7 now and I'm enjoying it so far despite it's deficiencies. I really didn't care for the combat queue system at first but it gets better as you level up and unlock new attacks. The looting feature leaves much to be desired as you can kill 5-6 enemies and you'll be lucky to have 2 of them offer up any kinda loot. I agree with you guys about the voice work for the most part. Mors', Alester's and a few other major characters are fairly well done but the rest of the smaller characters are almost cartoonish. I also find the musical score is quite lacking and very repetitive, especially during Alester's chapters. My only REAL disappointment is not being able to openly explore the kingdom of Westeros. I love the story so far but it's fairly linear and the side quests are more like side objectives that give you something else to do during a chapter and very few of them are running quests like collecting the statuettes. Most of them have to be completed before you finish the chapter or they're marked as failed.

yea the side quests can be annoying,especially if you want the achievement for finishing them all but thats why i just saved at the beginning of each chapter and i will go back eventually and go for them.i did that for chapter 2 when you have to either save the towns people or kill them.

I don't see myself getting a completion on this game. Not with the one cheevo for finishing the game without having anyone besides Mors and Alester getting knocked out. 
I'm going thru it on the "easiest" difficulty and there's been a few battles that have taken me multiple attempts to get thru especially the two big ones in Chapter 7. Oh and FYI for anyone else with the Prima Guide: Just about all the chapter specific achievements listed in the back have the wrong chapter designated. The cheevo listing on x360a has them listed correctly.

How close are you to finishing it Heaven? I'm curious to know whether you can unlock the cheevo for finishing all the side quests by loading up previous saves to get the side quests you missed or if you need to finish the game all over again. I've already missed 2 and they're early on.

I got a kick out of how they modeled the maester at Castlewood, Maester Martin who you meet in Chapter 10, to look just like George R.R. Martin, glasses and all. I think he even did the voice work for the character and there's a bit of dialogue between him and his apprentice joking about the "History of Westeros" that he's writing and they say the apprentice is always asking when he'll complete the next volume to which he replies "next year."

I'm pretty sure that you have to do it all in one playthrough for the side quests. There's no level select or anything.

So I finally just finished the game tonight and I have to go thru it again to get the 9 cheevos I didn't get. Despite having the strategy guide I still managed to miss some shit. 
The only side quest that it says I failed was the very first one during Chapter 1 where you're supposed to collect the shit off the 4 dead crows but I also missed getting the statue of The Mother in Jeyne's room at the brothel in Chapter 5. I went back later but her room is locked and you can't get in. I also missed the cheevos for finding all the corrupt brothers and chasing the bastard thru Kings Landing. Once I saw I was gonna have to go thru it again I didn't bother with one or two of the later side quests so I also need the cheevos for ranking all the way up and unlocking all the magical powers.

Well I finished my second run-thru last night and got the completion. I didn't think I'd ever get the "Great Teamwork" cheevo the first time thru but it felt so much easier the second time around. I'm just glad there wasn't a shitload of collectibles and different cheevos for all 4 endings.
