The only thing that could kill a barb on D2 was iron maiden and magic hammers. It was easily the most versatile PvP character once rune words came out (Enigma, BoTD etc) and second best PvE on LoD. With the proper buffs you can trump paladin level def, and a AR so insanely high you mow down anything in your path including dodgy Amazon's with 75% block.
In short Barbarians are OP. Not broken like Paladins but definitely superior to Druids/Assassins/Sorces/Necro/Amazon in terms of versatility and lethality.

wut barbs were terrible in D2, amazons and Druids wiped the floor with them.
I think you didn't play real competition otherwise u would know this, it's the reason why barbs got bumped up to OP status.

Ugh...I was always in the top 10 on the dueling ladders. I think you have no idea what your talking about. Post any build and I'll tell you how to dismantle it with extreme prejudice. Druid wolf/were-bears can't touch whirlwind or equal a barbs AR. Their elemental builds (If were doing caster vs melee) are equally easy to counter with a enigma and minimum sorb. Javazon's can't touch a barb since they are pure elemental unless they are full jab which blows vs whirlwind. Bowazons are glass cannons and I can kill them in 2 clean hits. Enigma leveled the playing field in the barbs favor especially when wielding duel beasts (Casters = cake). Otherwise I can get a ethereal fort and out tank any other melee character outside of smite.
The only thing I can think of is you quit playing before
1.10...and probably never saw a proper barb. Pre 1.10 was all rock paper scissors.

fuck yeah im gonna be all up in there with this special build i came up with called melee wizard basically im gona be a wizard but use all two-handed heavy melee weapons and armors and rush in to crowds of elite mobs to do glorious 300-style battle.

witch doctor was so fun man, i loved sending out a thousand green frogs to just crap all over everything and then putting the death hands under it all, woooo what a mess
I may go with the Monk this time, i was really liking his versatility on PC and I'd like to see how he wrecks shop at higher levels.
So we have a meat grinder party going:
Snap = Demon Hunter
Haze = Barbarian
Meta = Monk
who else is in and what do ya want to play?!

I had a really fun build going with him that was a lot of debuffs & crowd control, it was surprisingly effective both solo and online PvE.
I never could quite dial in a min-maxed high-DPS-to-single-target build that could also withstand the general clusterfuck of minion mobs during big fights. I know he can do it cause I saw my roommate rape face all over that Rakanoth guy you fight before Diablo.

I thought it looked kind of interesting, and are meta, haze, and I really ones interested in D3 for Xbox?

Evol and I are both getting it. Idk what I would be though, I've never played a Diablo game.

The classes are very straightforward. Tank/Ranged/Mage etc.
Depends on what you enjoy more. I found Witch Doctor to be the most interesting since it requires more thought.
