ok i like horror but i don't wanna be scared shitless lol
Brave New World isn't that kind of scary. What is scary is how our society could end up similar to the one of the novel. It's a great book, I agree with Minioger.

I highly recommend the 1939 british novel "Descent into Hell" by Charles Williams, it is deeply disturbing and complex on many levels, and a very short read. This book scared me more than Stephen King ever could.
i'm gonna' have to look into that.
i love scary books, and the only one that's ever really scared me was phantoms. i love stephen king, and they're kinda creepy, but i want another SCARY scary book.

Medieval fantasy is about all that I read, and R.A.Salvatore is easily my favorite author in this genre. He wrote a few Star Wars novels, but is best known as the creator of the
Companions of the Hall series of Forgotten Realms novels. It features Drizzt Do'urden, a Drow Elf that lives on the surface and has denounced the ways of his evil kin. Yes I am a huge nerd in that respect, as I love Dungeons and Dragons!
The series has 21 total books and I am on my third read of the series! I can't get enough!!
Other than that, I have read the LotR and Hobbit books and several Star Wars novels. I really liked
The DaVinci Code, and the rest are Poker books like Doyle Brunson's
Super System.
I've read some of your poker books... You know, in the bathroom... I really think they helped me, and that's probably why I kicked your butt at poker the other day.
But.. medieval fantasy? Dungeons and dragons? I am just now realizing what an incredible dork you are.

I've been reading since I was a child. Its my very favorite thing to do in the whole world ( i know i'm a dork).
I'm the same way- I started reading when I was 3 and I just love to read. A huge library full of thousands of books is the most exciting thing in the world for me!
i would like to burn all libraries everywhere; i hates books!!! i would save the librarians first though.

That's a terrible thing to say! Libraries are like- heaven to me. And there's more to reading than sexy uptight librarians, LIVEWIRE...
sorry, just being honest. if you said i'd give you $1000.00 for every 50 pages of reading some chunk of paper with lots of nothing words, i'd say keep the money!! BOOKS SUCK!! HAHAHAHA!

You remind me an eerie amount of my son. He's 6 and refuses to learn to read. He's smart enough, because he can read menus of most games he plays, but he refuses to admit he can do that much... if I'm around he pretends he needs me to tell him that... When my daughter was with us, he spent a lot of time calling her a nerd because she can read. Then he started calling me one as well... I'm at my wits end trying to teach him to read, I've been trying for 2 years and only in the last 6 months has he stopped shredding the books I get him, and/or chewing on them. I'll be relieved when he's no longer home schooled.
yea but i'm not 6.. and i never said i didn't know how to read, i'm actually an excellent reader, i just can't stands it!! he needs the KARATE!!
