Story.....good acting....tons of other things that movie didn't have.
Coincidently, my next feature is similar to this, (in casting), but does not take place in a mundane high school. Script is 60% of the work, Acting 20%, Directing 10% and the other 10% to chance and/or dumb luck. That's my opinion, anyway.

I'd say acting is a little higher than 20%, you could have the best script ever but if you get horrible actors then you just wasted a whole lot of effort.
That's true- I mean in a competitive world the way normal projects develop. Yes, if I take Shakespeare in high school and have my friends act in it, chances are not very good. But if you're making even a normal SAG-ultra low budget movie, you have to cast actors that all relatively know what they're doing, and you're most likely beholden to an investor or two, that forces you to cast a celebrity or two. That's where the difference between person X, vs person Y, matters. And in most cases, it's not going to be the difference between casting Heidi Montag, or Nicole Kidman. It'll be like casting Naomi Watts, or Nicole Kidman, and that's where the right person in the right role, makes that difference, over not. But that's my opinion.
I knew this would be bad but I rented it anyway. More boring, really, which is worse than bad IMO. Rob Cordry is good in here but it doesn't save the movie.

That's one perverse movie, man. I thought it got off to a good start, but then it derailed into some strange weirdness after a bit.
